Bye the way, Catholics do not pray to Saints, they pray through them as intercessors. Its like asking a friend to help you. Non catholics tend to have a lot of misconceptions about Catholics. Mary is venerated as the Mother of God ( and hence Jesus, by means of the trinity). To answer your question, the main differences are that Catholics believe in the true presence of Jesus in the Sacrement of the Holy Eucarist and they honour Mary (very deep subject though and this answer is not even the tip of the iceberg) Other denominations to not believe in the true presence and see it as a ceremony of rememberance.

Catholics are Christians for the most part but , many a catholic teachings are not of Jesus Christ . They have many
man made perversions of the truth . The Roman Catholics
worship saints , statues , the virgin Mary , they are superstitious and , mislead in the truth of Jesus . I have wittiness in Italy at Naples where thousand of people go to
see where a Saint was beheaded centuries ago and some
one captured some of his blood in a bottle . The bottle sit
on top of the very place that has become in shrine and wait
for His blood to bubble & boil over once a year on the date of
his excution . If it does not boil the city start to go crazy because they say that something bad is going to happen to the city now . Earthquake , disease , etc.. That just one fact , a lot go to france some where to get a bottle water special water in the image of Mary at some fountain and ,drink it to keep
evil spirits away ,or cure a illness and so forth . Plus a lot of
preist are all puffed up like the Saducess & Pharisees were
in the old times and, we all Know the teachings from Jesus
on this . Not all have lost their way to the truth . They do
a lot of good in the world today , but that is all by Gods Grace
Who can turn any bad for His Good . There is a lot to be said
about all religions that some form of misleadings and perversion of truth . It comes down to what is in the persons
heart , your heart , your Faith in Jesus Christ that counts . Jesus said those who love me we follow me and do all that
He ask . Being obedient to His teachings which was a reflection of God our Holy Father Himself . Satan is in all churches around the world with his children disruting , misleading who he can . But he can not as Jesus promised
shake the true believer for they , we are strong in Christ and
Satan will flee from you , Amen. ....

A Catholic person is a Christian. A Christian is someone that believes that Jesus Christ is the son of God. Catholic is the name of the religion the person follows. Many religions such as Lutheren, Methodist, Mormon (members of the Church of Latter day Saints) are all believers in Jesus as therefore are Christian also.
The Catholic church was founded by Jesus whereas other Christian religions have different founders. For example, the Lutheren religion (the 2nd Chrisitan religion established), founded by Luther, is based on many Catholic beliefs, but was seperate.
One fundamental difference in the Catholic faith to other Christian religions is the belief that the bread and wine shared at communion is the body and blood of Christ. The Catholic religion also believes that you can pray through Saints for intercession or help through God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit.
Chrisitanity then is a belief in Jesus and being Catholic is your religion. If you are a Christian, you dont have to be a Catholic, but if you are a Catholic, then you are a Christian:)

First off, the definition of a Christian is one who follows Christ and his teachings. If you do not follow Christ, you cannot be called a Christian.

Whom do the the catholics follow? Last I heard, they follow the Pope. The catholics follow the priests. The catholics follow the rules and edicts that come out of the Vatican.

There are MANY ways in which the catholic church and their teachings do NOT follow Bible teachings and in many cases the teachings of catholicism are in direct violation of Biblical scriptures.

Read the articles in the source and see some of the deviations from the Bible that the catholic faith believes.

Again, I ask, if you do not follow Christ are you a Christian?

All catholics are christians (by definition) but not the other way around.
This is what I found:
"The term “Christian” gets used to cover a wide range of different beliefs, all claiming to be based on the teaching of Jesus Christ. Christianity.net.au represents what is called “evangelical” Christianity. We think it is Christianity as Jesus and his original followers taught and practiced it. But Catholics see Catholicism as “true” Christianity.
Catholics and evangelicals believe a lot of the same things but the differences are very important..."

The Roman Catholic Church contends that its origin is the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ in approximately 30 A.D. The Catholic Church proclaims itself to be the Church that Jesus Christ died for, the Church that was established and built by the Apostles. Is that the true origin of the Catholic Church? On the contrary. Even a cursory reading of the New Testament will reveal that the Catholic Church does not have its origin in the teachings of Jesus, or His apostles. In the New Testament, there is no mention of the papacy, worship / adoration of Mary (or the immaculate conception of Mary, the perpetual virginity of Mary, the assumption of Mary, or Mary as co-redemptrix and mediatrix), petitioning saints in Heaven for their prayers, apostolic succession, the ordinances of the church functioning as sacraments, infant baptism, confession of sin to a priest, purgatory, indulgences, or the equal authority of church tradition and Scripture.

Catholics are apostate Christians.

Good Question!
A true christian believes the bible as truth and lives how Jesus told us to in the bible. catholics do what the pope tells them to do and puts there own beliefs and rituals above the bible.
Catholics claim to be christian but the bible is not put first.

Also catholics prey to saints which the bible says is wrong. You can only prey to God.

Thanx!
