By default, there is no password for BIOS. If someone has set one, you will need to clear that password. Normally there is a jumper or switch on the system board which can be moved/removed to clear the BIOS. But it is different for every motherboard. If it is a desktop, open the cover and see if it has instructions on the inside of the cover for clear the BIOS.

If not, or if it is a laptop, check the manufacturer's website for instructions on how to clear the BIOS.

Just so you know, there is NO Default Password for any Bios settings...This is always put in place by someone else...
By Default, there isn't any password for entering the bios settings..
Now with that said, do the above mentioned to get into bios.

there is no such thing as a default password for your bios.
someone had to type a password in and then re-enter it to verify the password.
You will have to find out the password from the one who put it in in order to change it.
or you have to use the jumper on the motherboard to clear the cmos information.which will also wipe all the BIOS settings. So you will have to know how to setup your BIOS or select "Restore Optimal settinsd" then do a save.

short the reset pin is this a ;aptop or desktop if its a laptop um i dont know i wouldnt take a laptop apart but if its a desktop open it up and look for a round battery on the motherbord when you find the battery there should be some header pins next to it 3 of them and it should say reset move the jumper from pins 1 and 2 to 2 and 3 got 10 seconds then put it back to the original pins and now your bios is cleared back to the factory defults

here is a good link http://www.tech-faq.com/reset-bios-password.shtml
it has other methods like backdoor passwords but i find the jumper pin is the fastest and easiest way

If it is an older PC you could have a change, what it gives a Master-Password. Times ago, manufactor used this way to solve such problems. Google for It: "Biostrade,Version,Master"
or "Motherboardtrade, Bios, Master"
