I understand what you are saying. I cannot see anything wrong with telling the Lord what you want for someone, but also praying for his will to be done, IF, you truely mean it in your heart, that you will be satisfied in your heart that when his will is truely done that you will not be disappointed.

The serenity prayer is the one I use most often when the going gets rough.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
The courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference
I offer that prayer to you in the hope that you can find the serenity to know you cannot change people who disagree with your faith, so threatening them will do nothing but add to their vehemence.
If you put your opinion in an open and public forum, you should be wise enough to know that not everyone is going to be happy with what you have to say.

There is a misunderstanding. If I need an own house, it will be Gods will to give it to me, if I glorify God using that house as a method. If I want good health it is God`s will to give good health to me when I pray " Oh Lord I`ll bear witness to your kindness after I recover fully and go to congregation to glorfy You "

Yes, I'll admit to doing that. I give Him reasons why it should be His will and stuff like that. I really don't think it's right, because it's kind of like suggesting what God's will should be, but I still end up doing it.
Lol, how many smart alecks do you think will make snide comments just to be reported?

I break a stick and trun a stone, and belive in God to do what he will, he's know you want it that badly, but perhaps it's that strong want that is reflecting his decision. And ya I have done that.

Not really. That kind of defeats the purpose of saying "Not My will but Thine be done."

I think I will go pray now….since the “All-knowing” God isn't as "all-knowing" to already know what I want, need or think without me having to tell him
(Prayer isn't all it's cracked up to be, eh?)

I think God know what is best for us. Personally, I just ask him to lead my way. I'm sure he does.

It is ok to hope God's will will coincide with your wishes, but I accept whatever God wills.
