Perhaps some folks who pose as Christian here were at the Mall on the Sunday that the minister spoke of Christianity's essential components, the Beatitudes.

To the lady who assumed I am Muslim I can only say that I grew up in Georgia, in a fundamentalist holiness environment. To others who responded, my first instinct was to pity you. Eye for an eye? Et cetera? You are not, I presume, God. You are not judges, are you? My assumption, based on your writing style, is that education escaped you. Has it not seemed logical to you that the Muslims who scan this website are not 'mass murderers,' etc. Some of you are my fellow Americans. Imagine how you make our troubled country look. I'm embarassed for you.

I cannot speak for all Christians just this one. My response would be that they are only lip service Christians who only serve themselves. God gives the message of peace and love. I find that tactful answers that do not belittle, accuse, or attack the person or their belief have the most impact as the person may actually read the whole answer and not be turned off to the message being put forth. Do not judge us all by the few who are very visible. Judge each person as a person not the group by one person.

What answers are you referring to? Can you give us a link? I can't speak for fellow Christians or make excuses for them. Muslims are for the most part, very nice, respectful, peaceable people. I can't imagine a Christian being mean or rude to them. But then again there are bad apples in every bunch.

Shopping, yes, the great American secular tithing fest. For those who missed the sermon;
5:6. Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill. Beati qui esuriunt et sitiunt iustitiam quoniam ipsi saturabuntur
on the subject of justice;

It seems no one can be nice today... I am Muslim and try to be decent and respectful to everybody. Anybody who doesn't treat others, regardless of their religion, kindly and with respect, is going against the very basic teachings of ALL religions. There is nothing at all to gain from hate, bigotry and ignorance.

You are hardly brothers, and sisters of Christianity. Don't you have a bombing to attend. A minister at the mall, now that has to be a good one.

Somehow I doubt Jesus would look too favorably upon mass murder, but then he did talk about the end of the world. Who knows?
