Most questions relating to things that happened in the past are answerable, it's just that different people have different answers to some questions. Regarding the chicken & the egg question, it's so obvious the chicken had to hatch from an egg because all birds do. The first chicken egg might not have been laid by a chicken though. It's parents would have been proto-chickens. Also evidence from observing & listening to other trees falling suggest that a tree falling in the woods could not fall silently, except in the absense of an atmosphere.
Here are a couple of unanswerable question, at least unanswerable untill 2012. How much will the full cost of the London Olympics be? Will they change the 2012 Olympic logo?

Will I still be working in Tesco this time next year? ( I probably will be, I hope not though.)

1. God wanted us to have the wonderful experience of life. 2. Human nature is bad. God didn't make us that way, though- we were perfect until we abused our free choice. 3. I'm not exactly sure why we dream... I know God used to reveal things by dreams- maybe that still happens sometimes. 4. I've never fallen in love, so I don't know yet. :D 5. Yes, there is an afterlife. You will either go to heaven or hell, depending on whether you accept Christ or not. 6. The meaning of life is to bring all who will come to the wonderful light of the Gospel. The more the merrier- God wishes all to come and live with Him for eternity. Well we know that evolution means that the chicken came first so that answers that. Im sure woman would rather be kicked in the balls rather than give birth as it would hurt less due to not having any (are you aware of the human anatomy?)

Old chicken - Since egg needs enough(moderate) heat to become chick..
So there must be hen to provide that heat..
Even after birth it(chick) needs that heat to alive for few days and to protect from the natural disaster ,it surely needs his mother..
ie.. old chicken can live with out eggs..
But egg can not become chick with out his mom :)

Both questions are answerable, no question isn't. whether it's the right answer or not is a different matter.
Egg came first, dinosaurs used to be hatched in them and whatever gave birth to the first chicken was not a chicken, so the egg came before the chicken. giving birth is well more painful, but it doesn't happen as often (the real answer to this question is a question, are you male or female? (hermaphrodites count as male as they can't conceive)

as far as your two examples go that doesnt help as the chicken V's egg is a known answered one. Chicken can already feed and fend for itself . . . egg needs chicken to incubate it etc.
test : take one chicken and pout in field take one egg and put in field...which survives?? Chicken . . providing fox don't get there first ;o)
