Bible stricly forbids eating pigs and swines. Pastors allow it, cos they taste them well.

"Peter's Vision
9The next day, as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the housetop about the sixth hour[b] to pray. 10And he became hungry and wanted something to eat, but while they were preparing it, he fell into a trance 11and saw the heavens opened and something like a great sheet descending, being let down by its four corners upon the earth. 12In it were all kinds of animals and reptiles and birds of the air. 13And there came a voice to him: "Rise, Peter; kill and eat." 14But Peter said, "By no means, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean." 15And the voice came to him again a second time, "What God has made clean, do not call common." 16This happened three times, and the thing was taken up at once to heaven." "

"What God has made clean, do not call common."

The Torah(Old Testament)states that if you eat pork, as well as certain other animals, that you are UNCLEAN. Yahshua did not change that commandment, He simply said that heaven was not about FOOD, about things of the earth. If you are to be His HOLY VESSEL, to which a clean SPIRIT lives within you, you will make the whole 'dish' clean, both inside and out. So honor the commandments and stay clean. Is a slice of ham worth your place in heavenly realms? Did not Esau trade his birthright for a pot of stew?

Strange how some view this as an issue when so many eat the Bible and are hypocrites within.
No reflection though on your good self.

No, no, no. PLEASE Read Isaiah 65:4, 1 through 6 and you will see what God has said about eating Swine. It is an Abomination to Him, and Swine is a scavenger which makes them Unclean Meat.

Once again, PLEASE READ it for your self.

I'm sure that was due to health issues.

Now, that we have the FDA, it's safe or safer to eat.
