Jesus walked and talked with the poor, and
had great love for people that the world thought
were unloveable. Thank God in my church there
is no class distinction. If there was I would not
go there. I am not saying God doesn't like
rich people,He does not like anyone who thinks
they are better than others. Compassion and
love is a wonderful thing to have in your life.
Perhaps some people in your church need to
be reminded of that. God Bless

The true church focuses on worshipping God, preaching and teaching the Word of God, and ministering / serving people in need (spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, etc). I encourage to pray about whether the place you're currently attending is where God wills you should be. In John 4:23-24 Jesus advises the Father seeks those who worship Him in Spirit and in truth.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Unfortunately a lot of those supposed christians who attend church regularly arent the kind, thoughtful and friendly people they pretend to be. I stopped going to my church because of the politics, back biting and general bitchiness. I found a much nicer church where people were mostly good to one another. You will find this in all walks of life, maybe you should look to join another church where you will feel more at hime and welcomed. Good luck

Any church that is interested in your money more than your soul is not the place for you. As far as being poor goes, God chose the poor people of this world to be rich in faith. Be at peace and know that God loves you. Peace.

I can see that you have very limited education, and I can overlook that as I do not know if it is because of lack of money that your parents needed to send you to school for a proper education. However IF I understand your (statement) correctly, poor people ARE welcome in a Church IF they want to go. A Church that teaches the Love and Grace of Jesus Christ DOES NOT care if you have money or not. Having Christ and Friends are the richest you will ever be in this Flesh Life on earth while you are on it. I have made this as simple as possible for you to understand.

Yeah I know what you mean but look our dear Lord was poor and so too were His Apostles so take comfort in that meanwhile remember it is easier for a camel to pass thru the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom.

But that's not very Christian. Isn't there a commandment about not coveting other people's goods. Are the peop[le snobs or are you feeling inferior because you don't have money?

the majority of people (usually the older ones) dress up and go to church soley for their social life and to gossip. If a homeless tramp (the people that Christianity was supposed to be for in the first place) tried to get in they would kick him out in disgust.

If they are snobby & look down on you because you're poor then it's their problem not yours. In the eyes of God you are just as important. They need to work on their arrogance (not your problem). Don't let anyone put you down (on here included), ignore them.
Look at the bible story of the poor widow.
