What kind of name is Sam Alexis? As if being half cablinasian and half caucasian isn't enough to make you the target of bullies, Tiger goes and makes life even harder for his daughter in the future by giving her a wierd name.

I can't for the life of me see what is wrong with the name. Sam is a popular girls name, often short for Samantha.
Also in this day and age, a child is not going to be bullied for being half black and half white.

Good point you've made. Today, I doubt it if anyone in any corner of the world wouldn't know Tiger Woods. I mean I have to google to spell Michael Schumacher's name correctly, and the man made more money than Tiger.
His daugter birth was broadcasted over the TV time and again over the Master, and the US open tournaments for million of world viewer when the commentators said Tiger might not be participating in the Open this year if his daugter borne on the date.
Think this now that she was borne, her name is being discussed over the internet. I don't think she will be picked in school for her name. But, whether she can handle the brutality of fame, I wonder. I mean Beckam's kids not even this big in the news.
What I really want to know is what she looks like???

He could have named his baby "Dummy" and it would still live in the lap of luxury for her entire life without teasing of any kind. This kid will have only the best that money and fame can bring. Notice I didn't say buy, because most of these super rich folks get everything handed to them... for free. Don't worry any for this little girl with a boy's name.... she'll be fine. I just can't believe they would give her a nickname as her birth name "Sam being short for Samantha".

Haha! Let me get this straight... some of you are worried about the daughter of Tiger Woods being picked on in school? Are you kidding me? She'll have her pick of friends, whatever her name is. Shoot... by the time she's in school, now that Tiger has used the name I'm sure it will be more popular amongst society.

Dave, I believe Sam is short for Samantha. That is a pretty common name. Samantha Alexis Woods. Doesn't sound bad to me.

I doubt she'll be teased because of her name as kid. For some reason I believe her looks will take of not getting teased as an adult. The money can't hurt...

why do you care?? i think its just jealousy. Sam Alexis is a very pretty name and Tiger is allowed to name his child whatever he wishes to.

I doubt that will happen with his money the kid will be in the best private schools with plenty of security. That and with mom and dads money and stardom the kid will have plenty of friends to back her up.
