Generally, you need to accomplish pre-medical degree such as B.S. Biology and other Bachelors degree, obtain required grades, pass the MCAT or equivalent depending on your location, financially able to cover the costs of education, great interest and vocation to such profession.
You are planning to make a pamphlet, so have a look at all the details of excellent information from this link: http://www.howstuffworks.com/becoming-a-doctor1.htm
Good luck!

To become a doctor, you have to graduate from a 4 year college or university and complete all of the pre-medical requirements. You can major in anything you want as long as you've fulfilled the pre-med prerequisites. You must also take the MCAT (usually in the spring of your junior year of college) and apply to medical school, which is a very long process.
Once you're accepted to medical school, you will go through 4 years of training and must pass 3 different steps of the Boards (licensing exams). The first two years are basic science courses (Gross Anatomy, Histology, Biochemistry, Introduction to Clinical Medicine, Neuroscience, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology & Immunology, and Pharmacology). The third and fourth years are the clinical years, where you will complete rotations in many different areas of medicine (i.e. Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Ob-Gyn, Psychiatry, etc.).
After graduating from medical school, you will have an MD degree, but you will still have to complete a residency program in whatever specialty you decide to enter. Residency programs last from 3-5 years, and some subspecialties require fellowships afterwards. Once you complete a residency, you will officially be a doctor and begin working in whatever specialty you've chosen.
It's an extremely long and rigorous process, so you have to be dedicated, committed, and willing to make sacrifices to become a physician. However, it is one of the most rewarding professions in the world, and you will be able to help so many people if you successully complete all of the training.
Hope this helps! :)

There are several requirements (at least in the US):
Hard working
Calm under pressure
The ability to work with all types of people
Tremendous problem solving ability
Being able to retrain large amounts information
The academic requirements vary from school to school but generally you need:
General Chemistry
Organic chemistry
Basic Biology
Microbiology
Genetics
Biochemistry
Physics
Most schools require a bachelors degree now (although there are some head start programs where you combine your undergraduate with your medical degree). Most schools also require you taking the MCATS which is a logic based exam used to test your ability to become a doctor.
