Btw, what age can it be in order to get pregnant?

I have a Japanese Chin. She is just a puppy still. I have read the link someone posted to you, that the chins live an average of under 10 yrs. However, I talk to lots of other people with Japanese Chins, I am always trying to learn more about my sweet girl. I have spoken to several people who's dogs are over 10, the oldest so far that I have heard is 16 yrs old. They are just wonderful little dogs. From what I understand, they can have puppies after their 2ND heat. But most of the breeders I have spoken with wait until their chins are 2yrs old to breed them. Their litters are very small, most of the time only 2 or 3 puppies in the litter. Also Chins are known to have trouble during delivery of their puppies. So it is possible that they would have to have a c-section, which is very expensive. Not to mention, the vet has to keep a close eye on the dog through out the pregnancy, so the care would be expensive even if everything when fine during delivery. I am getting my dog fixed. I don't think I know enough to breed chins. I know I am not financially able to deal with complications. I hope if you do decide to raise chins, that you will do alot of research, talk to some breeders.

By the age of five, a Japanese Chin can get pregnant, and the average litter size has one to three puppies in.
Your dog can live to its mid/early teens.

They live about 12+ years. All dogs can get pregnant after they reach sexual maturity around 9+months, but you should wait until the second heat cycle to breed them.

any dog can get pregnant at about 6 months but shouldn't.
You need to do a search and get books so you know your breed.

they can live upto 15 years .
5-12yrsthey can get pregnent
