Dan Brown author of "The Da Vinci Code" tells a story of a protection of the royal treasure that is protected through the centries known as the knights Templer. In my beliefs I believe there was a relationship between Mary and Jesus and there could of posably been a good chance that she had Jesus child. Do you believe this could of happen? Do you believe he used all the right sources to prove this?

I knew some of the things mentioned in the book prior to even knowing or reading the book
yes there are some facts spread through it
and having been to Roslyn chapel , I could relate to the book very well
I do believe Mary was more than just a friend .... this isn't to say she was his wife ( although it is possible ) , but most definitely a confidant and disciple

The Da Vinci Code is fiction. You may ask the author if you want. But is fiction that includes: 1) Information that is true but wasn't known by many people. 2) Controversial research that you may believe or not. So many people learn / discovered knolewdge through reading a fictional book. And probably that's why many people may think that is non fiction.

I believe that The Da Vinci Code is a great book - of fiction. Sure, a lot of the stuff in there is true, but a lot of it is myth and positive assertion - presenting legend as fact. It's difficult to know how much is true, how much is myths created by other people, and how much he actually made up himself. I didn't try to work out what's true and what isn't, I just enjoyed the book for what it was - just a fictional book. I don't have anything against it, I enjoyed reading it and watching the movie, but I wouldn't take it too seriously. Besides, even if half of what Dan Brown said in the book is true, what difference would it make? It all happened thousands of years ago, there isn't anything we can do to change it now.

None of it! The Da Vinci Code is not the truth and is nothing more than a figment of someones imagination! There are more holes in that fable than Carter has little liver pills! If someone has nothing better to do than to make up stories about the precious Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world, they have REAL problems! Whose report will I believe? The men who walked with Jesus in the Bible.........of course!

its more truthful than the bible, some say. That thinking is because it was written by some seating high in society, that's a man's belief.

On the other hand, God shows his true in many ways, like: could it be a revelation of an inside job the folding of the dollar bills and the destruction of the World Trade Center.

The mystery is: Jesus came to fulfill all the laws man had to fulfill and that maybe included the role as a husband, father, and man of old, but he was taken at a half age.

It could be nevertheless that this role was left to be fulfilled in spiritual realm, like his marriage with the Holy Spiritual Church.

God has other ways to make heirs to Christs, that this not just in faith but also in essence, that is making other babies be burn by incarnation in pregnant women of the same Spiritual essence Jesus was created of. even though less powerful.

Yeah I am crazy for saying that, but I would not be crazy if I was Dan Brown.

It's bogus.

People with limited understanding of the Bible could easily believe it, because it's so well-written, and contains enough truth. Very good liars always knows to include a good bit of the truth woven into their tales.

Based on your comment about your own beliefs, I think you are just the type of person the book was written for.

Dan Brown has repeatedly said that his book is fiction. Don't you believe him?

As for the generic question of whether Jesus may have fathered a child with Mary (or any other woman).... well, that depends on if he had sex with women. There is no mention of Jesus' sex life anywhere in the Bible and I wasn't there to witness it. Is it possible? Yes.

Dan Brown wrote a fantastic fictional novel based loosely on some facts. The rest was just speculation...it's a great read, though, isn't it?

None of it. Even the so called 'facts' in it are wrong. You can buy books or CDs that are published by the Church which debunk all the 'facts' in that book. As for the extrapolations and fiction in it - they are simply that - extrapolations and fiction. As for his 'sources' - ditto - those books and CDs will tell you either those 'sources' do not exist, or they have been manipulated. If you do not believe me, just read one of those books or watch one of those CDs debunking all these 'facts' and 'sources' and conclude for yourself.
