You can turn the treble up and the bass down, like mentioned. Also you can try to shift the speaker setup to the front. Your stereo might have it as fade selection, but should adust from front/rear. Subwoofers most of the time use the channels for the rear speaker.

You can do the following:
1. turn down your sub
2. adjust the croosover point of the sub to a lower cut off (60 to 80 hz)
3.turn down the bass and treble to emphasize mid.
4. if you have an eq, turn up the 500 to 1000 hz band
5. install a center channel speaker
6. if you have pre programmed eq, choose vocal preset
7. if you have rear speakers, bridge both of them
8. check polarity of your front speakers

Turn down the bass. Irritating to other drivers. You'll hear more of your lyrics when bass is down.
