God can forgive anyone for anything he likes. That's his privelige as God.

Imagine this: You just made an awesome bookshelf in your garage and you have it sitting out on your driveway when some crazy guy drives his car straight into your new bookshelf, destroying it.
Now, you alone have the right to forgive him and let him go or make him pay for it. You have that right because it's your bookshelf.

The Bible tells us that God made each one of us, so when someone is murdered, God - as our maker - holds the right to forgiveness. But he doesn't just forgive without punnishment. That wouldn't be fair. Someone has to pay. And Jesus, his son, has stepped up to the plate by his own will and said he would take the punnishment. Not just for one person, but for everyone.

So does God forgive murder? Yes he can. But if you don't ask for it (and I mean really ask for it) you wont get it. He's not stupid. If you think you can say a magic word - "sorry" and everything will be fine, then you don't realise who you're dealing with.

God can forgive anything at all because he has already paid for the punishment. All you have to do is ask him and trust him.

If God dont forgive murder, then they are in a lot of trouble.

It was September 11, 1857. A wagon train of 160 settlers on their way to California was massacred by a bunch of Mormons dressed in Indian clothes. 17 children under the age of 8 were spared and lived to tell their story.
1st. They dressed as Indians but after five days they changed tactics.
2nd. Then they went a bit away ,dressed back into normal clothes and acted like the Rescue Party who had negotiated a deal with the"Indians".
3rd, Then confiscated all the guns as part of the deal for "saving" the travellers and Mormon dissidents( who were the reason for the attack in the first place).
4th. Took everybody off a mile or so and shot them all. 2 men got away but were eventually tracked down and killed a day or so later.
5th. Took the 17 children they had not killed back with them to Salt Lake City.
6th. Got away with it. After a publicized trial, with the childrens own testimony admitted into the court, only 1 man was convicted and shot, John D. Lee. ( pardoned by Church May,1961)
The church even protected over 100 other killers involved in this massacre from Federal prosecution. Then they say "Thou Shalt Not Kill " doesn't apply to them . Only everyone else.

It ended up being called the Mountain Meadows Massacre. The first time in U.S. history that U.S. citizens were massacred on U.S. soil by religious wackos. This event is even more significant because the total U.S. population at the time was much smaller.(I dont know the exact numbers, maybe only 30 million or so) In todays numbers it would be around 1400 dead.

In our Doctrine & Covenants, God told Joseph Smith that He would forgive whom He would forgive. I think perhaps He CAN forgive murder, but a murderer can't come into ourchurch, because he's already broken covenants that he can't properly repent of in this lifetime.

From what I've heard, there are two "sins" that one is excommuncated for and can never rejoin the church, and that is murder, and changing sexes.

Jesus said that this sin will not be forgiven and this is the only sin mentioned that will not be forgive.
Mark 3:28 I tell you the truth,53 people will be forgiven for all sins, even all the blasphemies they utter.54 3:29 But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, but is guilty of an eternal sin”55 3:30 (because they said, “He has an unclean spirit”56).

The greatest mistake that man can make is trying to limit the saving grace of God. God commands us to obey the law (render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, etc.), and consequences of past sin comes with the territory. But if we submit to this type of authority, we are in obedience to God.

The desire to serve and obey God, the God who revealed Himself in the Bible (IAW John 1) is the single most important fruit of salvation. If a person commits murder, God reveals Himself to this person and that person responds to the prodding of the Holy Spirit/Ghost, I'll see them in heaven.

God judges man on their heart, and God knows man's heart more than anything. God is long suffering, it is one of the fruits of the Spirit. So yes He will forgive you for murder if you repent.

I think he does, depends on the circumstances. My friend was raped and she managed to get hold of his weapon and stab him. He later died, she had to serve time in prison for murder. She paid her dues for taking that scumbags life, god has forgiven her. She was only 16 at the time, imagine if she didnt do it, how many other young girls would he have done it too??. so yes i believe god does under certain circumstances forgive murder.
