I've lived all over the U.S and it seems like L.A (surprisingly) has no drive thru banking. I have seen very, very few, but why is such a busy city like L.A lacking in this area?? If a place like Portland Oregon can have the whole city lit up with Drive thru banking (and Pharmacies) why can't L.A?
P.S I have a small child, still car seat age, so that's why I find this very inconvenient, sorry for my rant;-)

Do you mean drive up tellers? Many banks eliminated them because they were TOO popular and traffic backed up.
Then they replaced them with ATM's.
Human beings cost money.

Bank of America has lots of them. Look for B of As. Walgreens seems to be the pharmacy that has the most drive-thrus. I think places like Portland have more because of the rain and because those cities were planned better. Los Angeles didn't have an overarching master plan for development for decades.

Must just be in the area you are in. Where I live in the Los Angeles area, there are lots of drive thru banks and pharmacies.

I'm suprised. I live in Orange County and drive thru's are every where. I just assumed that LA would be the same. Sorry, I am not quite sure what to tell you here. maybe... Keep on looking... or ask in your local branch if they have another branch with drive thru!

There aren't any where I live either.
I would assume lack of space and idling cars create pollution.
