AAwwwww!!
That is so great of you !!!!!!!!
I think you should feed it with an eyedropper with formula.
Good luck with your new pet and responsiblity.
If it makes it the next few days, you should research lots, get food, and a cage.
Yay!!!

You need to contact a vet , but in the mean time you can fed it by dropper or needless syringe with kitten formuls sold at WalMart and pet stores. It will need to be feed every few hours. You will also need to stimulate it to use the bathroom by massaging the belly with a warm moist washcloth (just a corner of it should do for this). Do you have any idea of how hold the baby is? since it's moving about you need to give it some hamster food, but just the seeds for now and see if it will try to eat them. Also try giving tiny amounts of water for now if you can't get any kitten formula. My rat babies were trying to eat by 8-10 days old.

The snake may have injured the leg. Many snakes are fed warmed frozen pinkies to start with. My daughters snake only is feed warmed frozen fuzzies, but started with the warmed frozen pinkies last year, she's a king snake. We never feed any of our babies unless they die at birth naturally or by mom's hand.

The perfect person for you to ask about this is Spazrats, they're a breeder of over 11 years with lots of experience on this. I have only a few months experience with rats and haven't experienced needing to care for orphaned babies, which is what you now have.

It is very easy to become attached to them, I now have 11 rats. Good luck with the baby rat.

since its eyes arent even opened yet, that means it needs milk. You can go to the vet or a pet store and ask for formulated milk for rats or even just rodents. Your pet store may not have it, but a vet will. Make sure you hurry or the rat wonk last. May I ask where your sister even got a baby rat!?!?

I know an old lady who swallowed a fly. I don't know why she swallowed a fly, perhaps she'll die...

... I think you're singing this song in reverse. Try feeding it a spider, but then get ready to catch some flies.

take it back to where you got it. It is too young to raise and if the snake won't eat it, it's going to die a slow death any way.
