15 is not too late. You would have a couple of years experience in the JO Division (ages 8-16) before competing with the older boxers (ages 17-34). Knockouts are rare in amateur boxing. And one of the basics you should learn is defense. You need to find a gym and trainer in your area. You can email me at mel@amateurboxing.com and I'll send you a contact. Just let me know what city and state you live in.

15 is not too old too start boxing unless you want to compete. You don't have a problem with your age If you just want to be fit. Don't worry about getting hurt I'm sure youre trainer won't knock you out! Good luck

There must be a boxing club in your town. I know if you ask around, maybe at the boys club or the YMCA.. They used to have a Police Athletic league in cities around America.. Any way find a club and find a good trainer to work with you. 15 is a good age to start armature boxing... You have to like and want to box to be good. and being good means no getting knocked out... I boxed in the Navy it was great and being knocked out never crossed mu mind... Good luck... Grant in Pennsylvania

Not at all. Many fighters start a lot later than that. Nate Campbell started boxing at age 24 and became the lightweight champ. That's just 1 example...
