Southern CA is crawling with military intsallations. check the blue pages of your phone book for the nearest one.

The nearest military installation's personnel office. Be sure to bring at least two forms of identification, along with a passport, birth certificate for your son (depending on his age -- 10 or above).

That depends............

There are lots of installations in CA. Navy, AF, and Fort Irwin. You don't state though that you actually have orders/sponser. If you are not a sponsored dependant - meaning spouse hasn't claimed you on his/her paperwork, enrolled you in DEERS you can't get one. He/She has to sign the paperwork to enroll you in DEERS and get an ID. He/She has to be present or you need a Power of Attorney as well (at least in the Army).

Once you have the proper paperwork and two forms of ID Then you can go to your nearest installation and get an Military ID.
