Yes, don't use so much conditioner. As a hairdresser since 1970, I've seen many products. The best one is Nexus. You buy it in salons. Salons that sell it can help you figure out which particular products to use. You also don't need to wash your hair every day. The more you wash your hair, the greasier it gets. Our bodies are made to provide what we need, so when you wash too often, your scalp notices that, and works to create more oil. The more you wash, the oilier it gets.
You don't want to just stop washing it suddenly, so back off slowly. For the first couple of weeks, go back to every other day. Then keep backing off until you are only washing once or twice a week. It will look great, and be cheaper, too.

I think you could probably try to "swoosh" it around with your hands to kind of even it out or cover up some of the most visible greasy areas. Another suggestion might be to quickly dunk the top of your head in the shower and wash the top quickly but really well, without having to get your whole body in. Don't worry, everyone goes through this situation sometime, I'm sure, it's completely understandable. :)
Hope this helped.

tie it up and put a wide head scarf/ hairband over it to cover the roots. Try leaving a day in between washes in future- you may find that you're hair adjusts it's oil levels and appears less greasy rather than more with fewer washes- my hair certainly looks worse with too frequent washing

Try getting out of bed a little earlier in the morning and washing it then rather than in the night. Or like others have said (if it's long enough) just tie it back. I'm sure it's not as bad as you think!!

if i were you (for a quick fix) i would lightly dab rubbing alcohol on your roots and use a hairdryer to dry it, i would NOT recomend this often because it will dry out your hair, especially after getting highlighted. However for future reference, when washing the conditioner out of your hair, try to get it all or most of it out, almost till you feel it squeaky.

Pull the front middle section back, tease the roots a little, and clip with a barrett/clip/whatever to make a "puff". And a quick spray with hairspray to smooth down any fly-aways :)

Put a little bit of talcum powder on it when it is greasy, but make sure you spread Around your hair so doesn't go white! x
