Excessive sleep can have many reasons - weakness, fatigue and not to ruleout depression. Kindly dont jump to conclusions when i say depression. Not working at the moment can have a subconsious guilt and a person finds solace in sleep. Try to engage urself in some activity - gardening, music, visiting places, parks, long walks. These activities refresh ur mind and cleans it form inside. GOOD LUCK

First, you need to go to bed earlier. If you have to, stay up all night. By the time the next evening rolls around, you'll be ready for early bedtime.
Why aren't you working? If you don't have to work, then volunteer somewhere. This will give you something to do and would be a great help to others. Then you'd have something to wake up for. Get some exercise early in the day so you'll be ready when bedtime comes. Get your nights and days straightened out. Or maybe you could find a night job. Good luck.

Do what I have to do. Go to bed earlier and when you wake up early (set the clock and don't ignore it) go straight for a shower that will get you motivated for the day. Honestly I can slip into that bad pattern no worries then depression sneaks in on you. So get up early at 4 times a week you will get too lazy otherwise Last night I went to bed at 2.45am but i got up at 8 am and for me that's early and I have had a good day even visitors dropped over and I was ready for it.

it sounds like you have some depression from not having a job. that will cause you to get depressed. you should try to go to bed earlier by drinking some relaxing tea or even trying an over the counter sleeping pill or some meditation to get you to go to sleep earlier and then set your alarm and put it across the room so you have to get up to turn it off. then just get up and take a shower and then go look for a job. that might help and make sure that you get out of the house. these are some things that work for me. of course i also have children that get me up so that also helps me. hope that this helps.

You may be in the early stages of depression, so see http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on page 2. For the next 3 days, get up, have a shower, breakfast, and go out somewhere, anywhere! until the afternoon. Once the habit is broken, NO DAYTIME SLEEPING!
