HUMMUS
1 12-oz can garbanzo beans
1 clove garlic
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2-3 tbsp tahini sauce (sesame paste)
juice of 1 small lemon
½ tsp salt
Drain 1/3 of the water from the can of garbanzo beans into a small bowl. Set aside for later use.
In a blender, mix together the garbanzo beans with the remaining can water and the rest of the ingredients.
Blend for 1-2 minutes until a smooth, slightly fluid paste is formed.
If desired, add small amount of the saved can water and blend to create a more fluid consistency.

I put a tin of chickpeas (rinsed), a large clove of garlic (you can put more if you like lots of garlic), juice of two lemons, 2 tablespoons of tahini and a good handful of peppadew peppers (sweet spicy peppers that come in a jar - you could probably substitute this with roasted bell peppers or something if you cant find peppadews) in a food processor, then blend it up. I then add a bit of the juice from the peppadew jar (or you can use olive oil), and blend it till its smooth.

Am assuming you mean hommus...humus is like leaf litter or compost. Not so tasty! There are a variety of great recipes here.
It's always easier using tinned chick peas. Enjoy.

I usually just chop some garlic and add to a can of blitzed chickpeas, a dollop or two of tahini, olive oil and lemon juice to taste. Sometimes I use a can of mixed pulses for a change. Just keep adding lemon juice and garlic until you get the taste you like

a tin of humus, that is if you can't be bothered to buy chickpeas to then boil them and then skin them.
lemon juice
garlic and some more garlic and more garlic
plently of pepper
and if you want that extra zing, cut up a small portion of a chilli and shred that mother to tiny pieces.
