Go to your doctor and tell him/her that you need a vaccine against chickenpox. If my memory still serves me correctly, I think it is called " Varicella Vaccine"

Chicken pox are contagious 10 days prior to a person breaking out in the red bumps so if your going to get it you probably already have contracted it but may not be showing signs yet.

chicken pox can travel in the air so its great to be clean and disinfect everyithing, the bottom line is that if u havent gotten it once in ur life u will probably get it from her. Its also possible to get it twice once as a younger kid and once ur an adult!

i'd have to say that you're best bet is vaccination-but i'm not sure how long those take to be effective. i had them when i was a kid, and i didn't complain too much-though i did scratch some too hard causing scars... :( be careful, talk to you parent(s) about the vaccination. i've never heard of it being airbourne, but i'd sleep on the couch or something just to be extra-safe!
good luck!

umm...you need to stay away from her,...completely. chicken pox is the varicella virus which is airborne. sounds like what you are doing is pretty much all you can do without going to get a mask, gown, and gloves....unless you go live with a relative until she isn't sick anymore. good luck

well your gonna have to have it sometime so pls dont be afraid because the later you have it in life, the worse all the bumps and itches will be, but try and stay away from her for a bit if u REALLY dont want it but you will have it at least once in your lifetime so dont run away from it

I always heard you should get it early & get it over w/ because it's worse if you get it as an adult. but if you really don't want it, you could get a vaccine. Other than that, there's really no way you can prevent it.
