I just need any idea. I am not asking for an actual diagnosis as I realize there is no way that can happen online.

I took my 10.5 daughter to the ped today, and he didn't even suggest anything, just referred her to someone else, and we are waiting on an appointment. So I am getting worrried and if anyone has any experience with this, I would appreciate some insight.

She has dropped from 50th percentile to 10th, is probably anemic, sleeping too much, refusing milk and wanting water, and MAY have a heart murmur (although I highly doubt that is related). This has been verrrry slowly building for the last 2 months, but has really gotten worse over the last two weeks. The last two days, her stools are VERY runny and acidic (proabably from lack of iron, but I mention it just in case).

I know it could be any number of things, but like I said, I am just worried.

I say they are acidic because if I do not realize her diaper needs changing, or if it takes me a minute to get to it, she gets a diaper rash within a literal five minutes. She soiled a diaper last night, and by morning, the skin was broken. If that is not acidic, I don't know what is.

it sounds like all the symptoms are caused by anemia and not that anemia is one of the symptoms but could also be something such as hyperthroidism, diabeties type 1, ulcerative collitis, but dont get concerned those are just possibilities

flu, mononucleosis, lactose intolerant, food allergy (nuts, gluten, etc) crohnes disease (esp. stool problems), diverticulosis, diverticulitis (colon problems), depression, anxiety; diabetes.
Diabetes:
insatiable thirst for water
lack of energy due to problems with metabolizing food related to insulin levels

How do you know stools are acidic? Did you have the sample tested? Just curious if so why the docs didnt tell you what could be wrong.

Good luck, and dont panic until you have confirmation of illness. Plug the symptoms into www.webmd.com for a better idea of ailments with the symptoms that your daughter is experiencing.

She may be lactose intolerant & unable to digest the sugar in milk & milk products. This might also be the cause of her acidic bowls. However, it could also be a type of celiac disease. I would take her back to the doctor.
