Is the end of the American Empire near?

Every great civilization in history has fallen. With all these problems America is involved in and the US dollar getting weaker everyday, and all the jobs going to China and India. Is the end of this Empire nearing? Should we look for work in India or China?

Whose gonna challenge us? The top rated military powers are either aligned with us or have steady treaties with us (sans China but I'll get to that)
We got Nukes, plain and simple; as callous as it may seem, we'll use them. Mutual Assured destruction means uneasy respect for world powers.
China; The lumbering communist giant is slowly turning more and more capitalist. While America likes to think it's a huge threat, the fact of the matter is, China is currently serving as a balancer of Asian economic stability.

So don't translate your resume to Mandarin
Keep your flag red, white, and blue
Only use that passport for vacations
And America will be just fine

The US dollar is one of the stablest and strongest currencies on the planet, used around the worls as the stadard for trade its continuing strength sees no end. Here in the US things are always goin pretty good, and great compared to a lot of the rest of the world. The jos goin to other countries to make things that are sold in the US you should wonder if we arent simply using them to make our lives easier. There really is no american empire only corporate empires, so if you got a problem go blame them.

Thats a complex question. First are we a Empire? Maybe, maybe not it depends on your definition. The multinational corporations are the real power it seems. They roam the world become more powerful all the time and when a territory doesn't suit them they move elsewhere hoarding their cash and looking for a fresh kill, hhhmmmmm maybe the corporate handlers are truly the Empire.

1) If we are "an empire", then why is it that EVERYONE wants to become an American?

2) If we are on our last throws; why is it that our economy is strong; our stock market has been going up, up and up all through the year?

3) if we are collapsing, then why is it that when a disaster occurs, the US is always expected to send in millions in aid to foreign countries like Pakistan, Turkey and Iran, who have suffered massive earthquakes or to Indonesia, where a Tsunami nearly wiped out most of Southern Asia?
