I really love this dress. However, I'm only 5'3. Do you think this dress will make me look to short, stout?

OMG! That dress is gorgeous! I don't think you will look short or stout at all, bc it looks very slimming. My bf just wore a side swept dress like that and our dresses were side swept. It makes anyone look slimmer especially if you do have a little "more" around a mid-section. What great taste you have. Unfortunately, I do not know anyone who has worn that exact dress. However, David's Bridal has a similar dress .
I put them in plus size and regular to show you that they make anyone look great. The model from the one you showed is REALLY skinny and it is very fitted. I think that may be why you are worried. But you will get the dress altered to look just right on you. Oh and remember you can always wear heels!

Oh, I did a little more investigating ( I am at work and bored!) and there was a bridal shop that specializes in dresses for "curvy" brides and they said that "Destin" made almost anyone look good! Good news, huh? They were actually called The Curvy Bride.

I tried this dress on in my search for my dream Maggie gown. It is a beautiful dress. I am short also 5'3. It did not make me look short at all. It was one of my faves. I wish I had pictures to show you.

This is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL dress, as long as you wear it as pictured, with the sleeves - those will help elongate your silhouette. Don't go for strapless, that will kind of make you seem shorter.
LOVE the dress, especially the skirt...
I've seen this dress posted on here before, and really like it...

You will know for sure once you put the dress on (and that is the only way you will know for sure), however, the lines in the dress will help to elongate you with out cutting you in half.
But try it on first!!

i admire this gown. the middle band is nearly funky, yet i admire the reality that there is a center band to highlight her tiny waist. The gown is extremely exceedingly. Halle Berry looks super, although i in my view dislike the netting ruffles on the backside of the gown.

if you are thin it would look nice, if you are heavy it may add weight and you do not want that
