Can be, the age that you begin to go gray can completely vary, I know that I'm screwed because my mum started going grey really young and was streaking it from her early to late twenties when she finally had to concede to doing the full head.

However, are you blond? Because if you have a paler hair shade, even red or light brown, you may just have found an extremely light hair, I'm 18 and my hair goes so very blond in the sun and with the summer months upon us the sun has gradually been bleaching ot to its usual medley of beach blond and platinum hairs, this could be what you have.

Or, do you die your hair? Because what you may have found is just a hair damaged by the dying and bleached blond.

Three of my siblings started going gray at 18. They are now in their 20s and have to dye their hair regularly. As for me, I found one white hair on my head a few weeks ago, and after freaking out considerably, it hasn't happened again since. That's probably what's happened to you - one random white hair that won't develop into anything. I wouldn't worry about it if there is less than five.
