Wow, with a name like yours, atheist Jesus, are you a fence straddler? Can't decide if you believe or do not in Jesus or what? The Second Coming's date is only known by God the Father. The Rapture and the 7 yr Tribulation occurs first, then the Second Coming. Is it near? I believe it is. We do not know the date, but can know the Season, according to The Gospels. He was not talking about their generation, he was talking about the generation that witnesses the signs of the end.

According to Prophecy there are a few things that haven't yet occurred. For instance the two prophets in the courtyard of the Temple in Jerusalem. The Temple hasn't been rebuilt yet so that is still pending also. Patience, patience, Men aren't cooperating so it takes a little more time but it is in the process, so to speak!

This made me stop and think, the second coming refers to the great and horrible BBQ thus I think it will happen when everybody starts doing wicked things and gives the father a reason to come like he did to sodom and gamorah. at the same time you should consider that you are more likely to guess the day of the second coming than you are to guess the billion dollar lottery numbers.

He is referring to the generation that would see the fig tree putting forth leaves, which is the formation of the state of Israel. The generation that saw the state of Israel come into being has not passed away.
