JOH 10:30 I and my Father are one.

JOH 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

How can Jesus and his Father be one, but somehow the Father is greater?

An excellent example of this mysterious inspiration can be found in Proverbs 8. In the remarkably prophetic chapter, Christ, the "wisdom of God", speaks of the beginning of his life with Jehovah the Father: The Lord created me in the very beginning of His way, long before His works. I was made in eternity, at the first, before the world began. In John's Revelation, Jesus reaffirmed this testimony of his own creation by calling himself "the beginning of the creation of God" (Rev.3: 14). Not only is he the beginning, Christ is also the ending. In his own words, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last" (Rev. 22:13). In other words, the first and the last thing which the Father created was the Son. Everything else was created by the Son (Jn.1:3). The heavens and the earth, angels, men, beasts, fowl, sea creatures, - everything, everywhere - was created by the Son for the praise and glory of his Father. It was the Father speaking to the Son in Genesis 1:26, when He said, "Let us make man in our image". The "us" in this verse from Genesis is not a reference to a "trinity" of divine persons. There is no such thing. This is simply the Father making known His will to His Son, who then created man - according to the will of God, his Father. Empowered by his Father, the Son of God created everything, except himself.

A father is always greater than his son because the father is the one that cause the son to be.

The same is true of God as he caused the Son to be. The Son was the firstborn of all creation. As the only begotten son, he was the first and only direct creation by God. All other creative acts were done thru and for the Son.

The oneness can be in several ways, for example they are of the same "stuff", the same purpose, and are in complete agreement.

But they are separate individuals just as each human is distinct. They are therefore not both God (almighty) and therefore the Father is greater.

Possible explanation Jesus is talking 'in the flesh." and has therefore limited Himself to the incarnate whereas the Father is still as He always has been, completely spirit. Also Jesus is speaking of God the Father being greater in office and in his function , at the time. This is if you read these statements in contexts.

They are the same God, Jesus was the Son though. And here we are trying to explain a concept of the Trinity!

Many more intelligent people who lived before us have tried to explain the concept of the Trinity. The Trinity itself falls short of it's purpose: To describe the nature of God.

So the Trinity is an attempt, but I find it at least respectable, but not really there.

There are three 'persons', and as you have noted in those verses- it's leaning in a direction that cannot be simple to explain. So welcome to the club. I don't have to understand the concept to trust God for what He said. That's what makes me a Christian in the first place; trusting God through Jesus Christ.

Because Jesus Christ carry the sin of the human
so that his Father is greater than him at this time.

It is not a contradiction. That is the same as when a couple you become like one and yet you are two separate people, but to everyone else you are "one". So it is with the trinity. You would have to be interested to understand.

Christians believe that God is 3 in one. that is possible. For example humans are also 3 in one... body soul and spirit. They come together to make an individual. When your soul is affected your a vegetable, basically. When your body is affected, your basically dead... etc.

Most people who think the bible contridicts itself (not to affend anyone) does not have a relationship with God as much as they should. Pray for wisdom and understanding (I did it and Gods word is more understandable now) and God will give it to you (if you follow and obey his commandments, etc).

If what you mentioned is a contradiction, how do they explain this verses in 1 Corinthians 15: 27-28

For he "has put everything under his feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

.What reason does Jesus (God) have to subject himself to God the Father?

They are not one for all and all for one!?

Jesus came down to earth as God in man form, and he lived a sinless life. When He was hanging on that cross, he beared all the sins of every man so God couldn't be with Him.

Because there is a distinction within the Triune Godhead. Though Jesus and the Father are both God, they have distinctive personhoods and roles within the Triune body.
