I'm shedding some pounds through healthy eating and exercise. I'm not obese or anything, and I've currently found myself having to buy bras that are one cup size larger. I've gone from a C cup to a D cup and I weigh 155 pounds. If I got myself down to say .. 140 by the end of summer, which is my goal (I've started this exercise thing about 2 weeks ago and lost 5 pounds) will my breasts go down? I'm not aiming for breast reduction or anything because I think they're fine even at a D cup, even though I was a bit distraught about that. I just want to know if I should save my C cup bras or go ahead and throw them away?

They may, depends on how much fatty tissue versus dense breast tissue is in your breasts.

Mine were very dense, as I did not lose any in my cup size when I lost weight. I had to have a breast reduction to alleviate my back pain.

Save them until you know if you lose in the breast, that way you are covered and don't have to buy a size you already threw out.

I am going through the same thing myself. I recently lost about 13 pounds and ended up having to get D bras instead of C. I imagine when you lose weight, you will also need a smaller band size, since this should provide most of the support for your breasts, so even if they do shrink, the old bras still may not quite fit.

You can either hang onto the bras and when you get smaller, you can measure yourself to see if you would still fit, or you can throw them out and if you do get to the same size, treat yourself with some brand new bras.

Your breasts probably will shrink somewhat -- breasts, at least the part that affects size, are mostly fat. Still, don't throw out your bras until you've lost the weight you want to lose, as it's unpredictable whether a 15 pound weight loss will really change them to the point that you would need new bras entirely.

You may be buying the wrong bra size since 90% of women do. Generally, cup size remains the same when you gain or lose weight. Only the ribcage size changes. So you might go from a 36C to a 34C but it's not set in stone since breasts contain a lot of fat.

Definitely keep all of your bras. I have a couple of bras in a couple of different sizes. Even a 5 lb weight gain for me is the difference between a D and a double DD. Keep in mind, as someone mentioned, that you may go down in number size too (i.e size 36 to 34) which would mean that you would need to get new bras. Fluctuating weight can contribute to saggage, so make sure to add plenty of push-ups (knee ones are just as effective) to your routine. For us bigger girls, push-ups arent as "lifting" as for girls with smaller ones, but chest work definitely helps. Good luck and congrats on the lifestyle changes.

unfortunately there are no particular exercises that reduce breast size. The only thing i can think of is to do exercises that target the pectoral muscles. Other then that just stay healthy and fit and your body should shape the way its supposed to:) However, if all else fails, breast reduction is the only sure way.

You usually lose weight over your whole body evenly, so your breast should go down slighlty. They may have gotten bigger as a result of your exercise and with increased muscle (pectoralis major) size as a result may be pushing your breast forward. Save your C - cups and see how much they (your breasts ) actually decrease.

If you excercise and diet, you may lose weight. If you have the right body shape or genetics, you may burn fat in your breasts before the other portions of your body. So, yes, diet and excercise can reduce breast size.

In some woman, breasts my change in firmness or shape if diet patterns are changed, but this can be dependent on many other factors, so I can't really answer that.

I'd suggest asking your gynecologist for further information. Hope I helped some.

i would think so...it would be kinda neat for everything else to slim down and the breast to stay exactly the same, but it probably doesn't happen. still, you could probably try some exercises to keep them the way and size you want them while you slim down.
