Hallelujah, Halleluyah, or Alleluia, is a transliteration of the Hebrew word ×Ö·×Ö°××Ö¼×Ö¸×Ö¼ (Standard Hebrew HallÉluya, Tiberian Hebrew HallÉlûyÄh) meaning "[Let us] praise (×Ö·×Ö°Ö¼××Ö¼) Jah (Yah) (×Ö¸×Ö¼)" (Sometimes rendered as "Praise (×Ö·×Ö°Ö¼××Ö¼) [the] LORD (×Ö¸×Ö¼) or God"). It is found mainly in the book of Psalms. It has been accepted into the English language. The word is used in Judaism as part of the Hallel prayers. Alleluia is the Latin form of the word; it is used by Anglicans and Catholics in preference to Hallelujah.
For most Christians, "Hallelujah" is considered the most joyful word of praise to God, rather than an injunction to praise Him. In many denominations, the Alleluia, along with the Gloria in Excelsis Deo, is not spoken or sung during the season of Lent, instead being replaced by a Lenten acclamation.
Halleluyah is a composite of Hallelu and Yah (Jah). It literally translates from Hebrew as "Praise Yah, [third-person plural]!" or simply "Praise Yah!" Yah is the shortened form of the name Yahweh (Jehovah), referred to as the Tetragrammaton.

The original hebrew word for it is
allelouia / al-lay-loo'-ee-ah
which means 'Praise ye Jah' or Praise the LORD, an adoring exclamation:- alleluiah.
It was used in verses in the bible such as Revelations 19:1,
"After these things I heard as it were a great voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, Hallelujah; Salvation, and glory, and power, belong to our God: ".
I hope that answers your question.

Hallelujah—The English transliteration of the Hebrew expression ha·lelu-Yah′, meaning “praise Jah,” or “praise Jah, you people.”
Jah—A poetic shortened form of the name of God, Jehovah. It appears in the Bible more than 50 times, often as part of the expression “Hallelujah.”

As I have been taught, Hallelu is praise. Jah is God. So, " Praise God."
It would not be good to say, Hallelu me or Hallelu you, but good to say, Hallelujah!

"What Sweet breath? so devine
damn us all, don’t waste your time
How evil loves first kiss can really be
So lets all fight our primal urge
full of loves that we should purge
it’s a cold and it is a broken halleljuah"
------ That's certainly what it means to me
