I'm thinking of joining a 24hr fitness facility. Before I do, I'd like to find out how much a personal trainer would cost, which I'm aware is in addition to the monthly membership fee. I've searched everywhere on their site, but they want to trap you into filling out the application before they divulge any information. I don't need to know the exact cost... just a range would be appreciated.

They usually give them in packages like:

6 sessions = something dollars
12 sessions = something dollars
1 year = something etc.

As a random thing, it's $300.00 for 7 sessions (one is free), and they teach you about nutrition, give you a notebook/journal to keep track of your weight and nutrition as well as your work-outs that you'll do, and of course, they help you out by motivating you.

It might be different in other gyms, but it's pretty pricey, but if you get a good trainer ('cause some of them are just cocky and bored and count your sit-ups but doesn't care about your form), then it's all worth it and you do see results.

I live in NYC and here trainers are $50-90 per session.
usually when you join a gym you get 1-2 sessions for free - ask them about it before signing up for membership.
