Creutzfeldt-Jacob Disease (correct spelling) is a neurological disease caused by prions and transmitted by eating the brain of an infected person (common practice in some parts of the world). Information is best obtained from a neurology textbook. Mad Cow Disease is a similar type of disease in cattle that can be spread to humans by eating infected meat. There is also an inheritable form of the disease which occurs in families. There is also a variant form of the disease which affects young people. This variant occurs in people in their 20's.

This diseas eshould not be confused with JC disease, another similar brain disease.
