Paul knew that a little alcohol is good for you. I have never understood why the super religious want all drinking alcohol banned. It is obviously against the Bible and against medical science.
Timothy had the bottle. Paul wants Timothy to save some for him.

Well, it was Paul's bottle and he wasn't drunk enough so he he didn't want Tim to drink it all because Tim had already chugged his bottle.
