sure, all competent people have a right to decide that themselves, but the big catch is that word COMPETENT. we've all seen examples of people who by all other estimates are behaving irrationally (michael jackson, anyone?) and certainly should not be having any more cosmetic surgery. or how about that prepubescent girl who wants to have breast augmentation? in some instances, allowing a person to have any more plastic surgery might be akin to giving that drug addict more crack. i don't know where to draw the line, but all i can say is that it's not as simple as just shrugging it off as we should let anyone do what they want.

i feel that plastic surgery can be good in some ways, such as treating a burns victim or such like. there should be a limit on the amount of times someone is allowed to have it. if plastic surgery is going to make someone feel better about themselves then i see nothing wrong with this to an extent.

i think it is becoming more accepted, but most people are not going to admit to having surgery to enhance their looks. i know for a fact that people judge you on your looks. If i had the extra money, i know i would have cosmetic surgery but i have to save for my kids college. i am all for it. It is getting more affordable, not just the rich people are getting it anymore.

It's up to the patient, and what he/she chooses to do in that regard is absolutely none of your business.

Patients I care for do not give a rat's a** what you, or anyone else, thinks about their personal medical decisions.

If it makes someone feel better about themselves why not. But i think the root is deeper, then just looks.
