Wow, the censors allowed this?
I posted a similar question earlier, and I had to call a friend 800 miles away to post it (the censors don't like me).

No, quite the oppposite. It generally runs roughshod over both.

Edit: A shame that you had to get a friend to post your question. A good number of mine never post, either.

I think so! Wow, what a good way to put that! I think when most of us are born in the world today, they make us Christian. It takes a wise person to break away from that and seek to know instead of having a "born again" ex alcoholic TELLING them what to believe and why.. Why not read for yourself and interpret it for yourself? I could go on forever with this one, this is by far the BEST subject for a person without a closed mind! Brightest of Blessings!

I will challenge any egg head intellectual to prove anything more than they are a stuffed shirt full of pride. I have faith, a family, and I read constantly. The question is, can you actually ask a question that is not a troll question?

No and No. Rational thought? LOL I think people with an organized religion don't spend much time on intellectualism. It's all there....they don't have to think about it, just accept it. It is much harder to rethink everything you ever learned. Too many Christians out there believe the devil is getting to them if they question certain points of the Bible.

It probably should, but seems not to. The Bible says people aren't supposed to "reason" about God, but to just have faith. The way I see it, that doesn't exactly stimulate a person to ask a lot of questions or really make an attempt to question things.

No, it's pretty much the opposite. It tells you to embrace an idea without any reason. Believe something without proof. That's not rational.

Well, the Mormons discourage education. Smart people figure out their little 'secret' easier than dumb ones.
