God did want Adam and Eve to have the knowledge between Good and Evil. But, God also wanted them to choose to have it. He put them in the garden where everything was given to them and they couldn't die. But, if they ate the fruit of that knowledge tree, then they would surely die. God gave them a rule, and a consequence to go along with it if they didn't obey. The punishment was severe too. But, Eve wanted to know the difference between right and wrong, so she ate the fruit. It was her choice, and God had given her the ability to choose. She decided that maybe it would be better to know things, than to live a life that must have seemed a bit meaningless. God wanted her to make the decision that she made. But, He couldn't very well act like he was pleased about it, because it did go against His commandment. So, they were kicked out of the Garden for disobedience, and they were tested to see if they would obey God from then on. God gives us these tests in life to help us be able to discern between good and evil. Sometimes it can be tricky to see if something is good or not. We are learning and as we choose good, God will strengthen us and also give us bigger choices. Just like Job, Job was so righteous and that is why he got a big trial.

The tree of knowlegde that was in the middle of the garden represented God's right to rule us and to decide for us what is right and wrong. By choosing to disobey God's direct command " Not to eat from the tree" Adam and Eve was saying that they decide for themselves what was right and wrong and that humans did not need divine guidance. God could have just dismissed the entire issue, however, millions of angel was looking at these events in Eden, and also wondered if humans could rule themselves. Therefore, God has allowed time to pass to answer this claim. Throughout the 6000 years of human history humans have had every type of goverment and would you not agree that none of the governments have solved the problems of crime, sickness, and death? Here is a good illustration of the situation lets say you have a teacher who is experienced, and a student in his class states he knows more that the teacher. What should the teacher do? There are other classmates looking and would like to see what would happen. So they teacher would give the chalk to the student and let him demonstrate if his claim is so. It is the same with God. If you have anymore bible questions, I suggest talking with the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in your area. You can ask any question you like and get a bible based answer, and you will not have to be obligated to anything. I hope this answer helps you.

God is indeed all powerful. Everything happens according to His will. I f God would've removed the knowledge of good and evil from Adam's mind after he ate the fruit. Then by doing so, God would've abused His infinite power. He would've abused His power on Adam. Abuse of power. Also remember that everything happens for a good reason. God is infinite. Every little millisecond in this Universe or beyond occurs according to the Will of God.

GOD gave them a choice, he told them in the beginning what tree they could eat from, and what tree not to, but the serpent,(the devil) came and tempted Eve, and she ate of the forbidden fruit that GOD instructed her not to, even though they disobeyed, GOD still gave them a choice, of course there were consequences, but GOD doesn't force anything on anyone! GOD might let us know the consequences of our actions, he gives us feelings in our heart that what we are about to do is not right, he will let us know in his own way, through other people, maybe through certain incidences, or somehow, in GOD'S own way, he lets us know that we shouldn't do something, or say something, or whatever the case might be, but GOD is not a GOD of force, he wants us to be free to make our own choices. But remember, just because we are free to make our own choices, does not mean that there won't be a price to pay!!

The temptation (or test) centered around Adam and Eve's pride and lack of trust in God. They wanted to be the final authority on what was good or evil. The tempter (serpent) said to Eve, "You will not surely die" and she believed it rather than God.

that is not the reason why GOD forbade the apple from them, it was all about obedience, faithfulness, honesty. Because they failed to submit to GOD's will, which is perfect even if we dont understand sometimes, then there was a repercussion and consequence to it. But obviously GOD IF SUPREME BEING AND NO ONE IS SMARTTER THAN HIM, he obviously knows tat so it wasn't about the knowledge obtained from the apple, which at the end it was bad for humanity because we do know wat pain and suffering is NOW.

Because THERE - IS - NO - GOD.
No such thing. Nada. Nothing. Fake. Phony. Contrived. Imaginary. Made up. A figment of our collective imagination.
You can't have an all knowing, all powerful, perfect being that creates intelligent beings simply to "test" their obedience when it already knows the outcome, as that would not be a test, it would be TORTURE.

Responsibility..big word..big meaning..
God is the Father of all creation..He looks to teach all His children responsibility..
God gave the rules in the beginning for our own good..have you noticed how many people today do not take responsibility for their own actions..it's human failing. We all must learn..
Hope this helps a little...Shalom : x )

God wanted human beings to worship Him, not robots who are programmed. He has limited Himself in one way that He gave us free will.
