Your children are alloweed to pratice witchcraft and satanism ours aren't alloweed to pray in public places or schools.
Our kids will be thrown in jail for praying and suspened from school yours will not be.

This is an outright lie. Perhaps you want to take a closer look at the law? Because you obviously don't know it.

Ozzie, I don't have kids in school, How could I see? I'm sorry but christianity is not a culture it's a religion. There is a difference. Part of some cultures is religion. This isn't one of them. Have you tried talking to the teachers? I don't have a big problem with the merry christmas thing but you are letting out a lot of other people. You still have plenty of freedom to say it to coleges, friends, family and out on the street and you are going to ***** about not saying it in school? Who should open their eyes?

Maybe you should sue the schools? If this is really happening it is wrong. I don't see anything wrong with people praying outside of class. And most atheists don't. Your anger is directed in the wrong direction.

It is extremely rare that a Christian would be subject to adverse discrimination in the USA in the common use of the term discrimination. It is so rare that I believe it does not exist.
Christians, on the other hand, discriminate frequently. The term discriminate is the process of making distinctions or selecting from a group on the basis of certain characteristics. Christians give preferential treatment to Christians. Can you imagine self-proclaimed atheist ever being elected to any office in the USA? Not likely. That is discrimination and it is not against Christians but by Christians.
The Bible teaches discrimination in many ways from calling themselves "God's chosen people" to admonishing not to be harnessed by those who are inferior or non-believers.
Christians are taught to be bigots, intolerant of those who do not believe as they. After all, if you have the ultimate and absolute truth, there is no room for tolerance.

The Land Letter was a letter sent to President George W. Bush by five evangelical Christian leaders on October 3, 2002 which outlined their theological support for a just war pre-emptive invasion of Iraq. The letter was written by Richard D. Land, president of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention. It was co-signed by Chuck Colson, founder of Prison Fellowship Ministries, Bill Bright, chairman of Campus Crusade for Christ, James Kennedy, president of Coral Ridge Ministries, and Carl D. Herbster, president of the American Association of Christian Schools.

By the way the religious group more persecuted after Jews were Jehovah´s witnesses.

Well, let's see:
discriminate -
verb
1. to make a distinction in favor of or against a person or thing on the basis of the group, class, or category to which the person or thing belongs rather than according to actual merit; show partiality: The new law discriminates against foreigners. He discriminates in favor of his relatives.
2. to note or observe a difference; distinguish accurately: to discriminate between things.
–verb (used with object) 3. to make or constitute a distinction in or between; differentiate: a mark that discriminates the original from the copy.
4. to note or distinguish as different: He can discriminate minute variations in tone.
–adjective 5. marked by discrimination; making or evidencing nice distinctions: discriminate people; discriminate judgments.

Geez. I see that all the time here on Y!A.
Some of the questions we get are typical in that they try to dissuade rather than just ask. And a lot of thimes they are referring to "Religious people" or Roman Catholics, and I was never a Roman Catholic! So not only are those people showing ignorance, but they are also showing hatred, prejudice towards me just because I believe what Jesus said.

It's discriminatory if religion has nothing to do with the group. My assumption is that the group was just for local mom's and not accepting you because you happen to be atheist is wrong. Not all groups accept people based on religious beliefs (or lack thereof) so I'd suggest search for like-minded peoples or start your own. It doesn't do anyone any good to start badmouthing or generalizing one group of people because of one event. And yep, I'm an atheist myself to I have been there... better to find people who aren't so close-minded and ignorant of others' differences.

I can't believe some here are actually claiming it's a lie that Christians are being persecuted in other countries! Go to google and type in Sudan +holocaust for one example among many. And don't think it's just missionaries being tortured and killed for their faith. They make up only a very small percentage. Their own people are being exterminated based solely on their Christian faith!

The Khartoum regime believes in forced Muslim conversions. You either convert from Christianity and renounce Christ or you are tortured and then killed! An estimated two million people have already died and four million have been driven from their homes.

If this is not persecution, what is?

Christians are discriminated against everyday. Even if you don't like Christians it is a fact.

People that are Christians are murdered everyday and they are not always and mostly not missionaires.

Your children are alloweed to pratice witchcraft and satanism ours aren't alloweed to pray in public places or schools.

Our kids will be thrown in jail for praying and suspened from school yours will not be.
THIS IS NOT A LIE I LIVE IN GA AND IT IS THE TRUTH AND I KNOW IT BY FACT. MANY OF MY FRIENDS ARE TEACHERS AND CHRISTIANS AND THEY HAVE TO BOW THEIR HEAD IN SILENCE AND NOT DRAW ATTENTION TO THEMSELVES. THE STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWEED TO PRAY EVEN THOUGH THEY WANT TOO. PREHAPES YOU SHOULD STUDY THE LAW! AND TAKE A LOOK AT THIS WEBSITE?

NOT TO MENTION CHANGING CHRISTMAS TO HOLIDAY? SCREW THAT. IT IS A CHRISTIAN HOLIDAY SO DONT' PRACTICE IT ANYMORE BECAUSE IT IS FOR CHRISTIANS NOT YOU. IT IS OUR LORDS BIRTHDAY. AND IT IS CHRISTMASS. HERE IN GA THERE WERE STORES THAT KICKED CUSTOMERS OUT FOR SAYING MERRY CHRISTMASS.

PREHAPES WHEN YOU GET OVER YOUR AGNER AT CHRISTIANS YOU WILL SEE THAT YOU ARE A JERK.

AND IAM TALKING ABOUT NOW. YOU ANGRY TYRANT.
We are told that our churches, the houses of God, and our preachers should have to marry homosexuals or they will go to jail for life and in some countries murdered. And there are already numerouse preachers sitting in jail because they did what they knew to be right.

There were an equal amount of Christians murdered as jews under Hilters reign. And just because someone claims to be a Christian does not mean they are. I know homosexuals that claim to be Christians and if that were true they wouldn't be practicing. And the witch hunting took place for a very short time and it wasn't the Christians. It was the Roman Catholics. Get the history Correct.

If a mormon or a jew or an athiesist or a homosexual were to say no I'm not doing it it is against what I believe it would be ok.

Christians are bashed and critized, lied about and too all because we are Christians and we believe that God sent his only son to earth and died for our sins so that we may have enternal life in heaven with him. Which there is nothing wrong with beliveing in Christ.

The problem is all of you that are angry, hostile, ugly, mean, hateful and self asbored that you can't stand for anyone to go against what YOU think.

I'm a Christian and I feel bad for anyone that WILL go to hell and it pains me a great deal but I don't hate you for your nasty behavior. I pray for you and I pray to my Lord and Savior. But YOU all you want to do is watch Christians suffer. Why?

Because you are morally and ethically coroupt and you can't stand that WE will not behave as yourself.

this past christmas our grandchildren were sent to the office for saying Merry Christmas! because apparently this might offend someone~this school has one day a month where they celebrate various cultures. one month it might be hindu, one month jewish, one month black, etc. on that day the students of that culture bring a wide variety of items and dishes from home to share with others and give little talks on what their lives are like. this has been going on for two years. not once have Christian children been asked to discuss their culture, or asked to bring items and dishes from home to share. every othr culture in the school has been celebrated at least twice in the two year period.................
you haven't seen how? open your friggin' eyes and take a good look around you. my grandkids aren't allowed to say Merry Christmas, Happy Easter, etc. and you can't understand our frustration?
go away and come back when you can take an impartial look at the way things are~and yes, this is going on in the u.s. where our children live, as well as where we are.

Christians are not persecuted anywhere. They've been lying that they're persecuted in other countries, but its not true. The only reason they get "persecuted" in other countries is because they send missionaries there trying to convert everyone and they dont wanna hear about the christian religion so they do something about it and Christians take that for "persecution". But its not since they brought it on themselves by trying to convert everybody
