Would "Anglo-Saxon Heathenry" be considered part of Asatru, or just Theodism???
Thanks!

Technically, no Anglo-Saxon Heathenry isn't Asatru (Asatru would be Norse Heathenry), it has some similarities and shares some of the same history.

Anglo-Saxon Heathenry is a part of Germanic Heathenry. Asatru is also a part of Germanic Heathenry. Anglo-Saxon Heathens can be Theodish, but they do not need to be. Theodsmen need not be Anglo-Saxon Heathen either.

*shrug* It depends who you ask.
Theod means tribe (or nation) in Anglo-Saxon (Old English) and has similar spellings/meanings in other old Germanic languages.
Asatru refers to reconstructionist Norse religion, but is often used as a general term for all forms of pre-Christian Germanic religion.
