We don't normally have mosquitoes this bad and I'm kind of overwhelmed and at a loss. I use OFF! Insect Repellent, but they still get me. I also have tried Skin So Soft, that had no affect. I ride horses and my best sprays won't keep them off! Any ideas for me or my horses? Would morning rides be better to avoid them?

Someone told me that Bounce Dryer Sheets will repel them if you rub them on your skin. I've never tried it but it would at least smell good...

I say go for the DEET spray. Ben's is one of the most popular around here. Just a note, nothing works for me either, I get bit no matter what I do or have tried so I am watching your question to see if anything interesting comes up!!!

The only thing that I have every found that works is Deet. Despite what some people might say it has never been shown to have any harmful effects unless you eat a bunch of it. My favorite is "Jungle Juice" or any type that is close to 100% deet. Just put 2 sprays on your hand and rub it all over yourself and you will have no problem with bugs of any kind for the rest of the day. I never go in the woods with out it.
