I would like to ask Jesus, why, at the very end, he asked, (or so I understand), Oh Father, why hast thou forsaken me? This may not be the exact quote, but I would want to know, if he was the son of God, & his "sacrifice" was a plan--why did he despair? I've really been curious about this for a long time. Even in all that pain, (& he wasn't the only one crucified at that exact time), I can't help thinking this represents disappointment, or abandonment. It just doesn't "fit."

I would be more interested in observing than asking questions. Maybe take a trip to Moses' time and see what really went on. Bust out the pocket digital cam and try to get footage of some burning bushes and parting of the red sea. Real cool stuff I could bring back and show to people then have them say "Nice photoshop work buddy." The other era would be Jesus' time of course. Same ideas for that 1. Of course, if I found that many of the things in the bible were made up or exaggerations of the truth, I'd be satisfied in answering many questions I have with that book.

to Psychiccat : When Jesus said : my God my God, why have u forsaken me?...Well, it is not a call of desparation. It is the only time He addressed His Father " God'...because when He was on the cross, It was a divine exchange for those who believed on Jesus. He called His Father "God" its because we could call God "Father" when we are born again!
And as a Holy God, God has to turn away from Jesus as He was carrying all our filth and sins on the cross. As a Father, It hurt much more to turn away from His beloved Son..but than
God did turn away..because when God did that, He could now boldly say to us : I will never leave u nor forsake u becoz i had forsaken my Son at the cross! Its a divine exchange!
to Doctor watson : hmm...if i had the chance to go back in time. i would definitely ask Peter : "what did u see in jesus while in the lake that u could walk on the water??"!
Kool yeah?

King David...he was a man after God's own heart..
When i read the psalms of David it's clear he loved and adored his God..yet David had many human failings..he was real, with real and honest feelings..yet God still said he was a man after His own heart...it's such a beautiful relationship.
Psalm 27: one thing i ask of the Lord, one thing i seek, that i may dwell in the house of the Lord, in His presence, all the days of my life, to behold and to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord, and inquire in His temple...
I would love to see David's love for his Lord..
Shalom

Mine would be to Ruth in the book of Ruth. What do you think of the life you lived now that you look back on it and know what history has said?

Hi,
Absolutely, I agree wholeheartedly with Psychic Cat. It's a question I've often pondered over. Jesus' last words sound like 'disappointment', 'abandonment' 'rejection' almost like Jesus was questionning his own faith in God.Or at least in His Father's love and support. But why?

Judas Iscariot: How could you be one of the 12 apostles chosen by Jesus, have the privilege to be with Jesus, listen to Jesus and walk and talk with Jesus and betray Him after all that?
