See your doctor. Reflux should be treated; there is a long term risk of esophageal cancer if it is not controlled.

I'm not a doctor, and it sounds like you need to see one for a professional opinion on your physical condition and symptoms.
Quite frankly, the symptoms you describe sound like they are stress related. Difficulty breathing, a lump in your throat, a raw throat and canker sores. All of these things that are occurring to you physically sound like your body's reaction to stress.
I have a condition called acid reflux which causes heartburn if I do not take maintenance medication. (Prilosec OTC) None of the symptoms I have sound like yours. In fact, acid reflux is not stress related but a physical condition of the stomach opening wherein the acid is allowed to come up the throat and cause heart burn and a number of other problems.
A symptom of acid reflux is not difficulty with breathing or canker sores, although there are times where the acid has come up into my throat causing burning and a sore throat. I have also had the acid back up into my throat at night while sleeping causing me to have to gasp for air since it almost blocks my breathing passage. Once again, not stress related, but a physical condition.
In any event, if your symptoms persist, you should see a doctor. There might be some tests and/or medication that can help your symptoms.
Good Luck. I hope you solve your problem.

Symptoms of heartburn include stomach discomfort, chest pain, throat pain, reflux, and an acid taste in the mouth. [ I am not aware of any link to canker sores.]
Have you tried any antacid? Some work really well; try to get one that says it tastes good.
Are you overweight? Even 20 pounds can make a big difference in symptoms.
What is your diet like? Avoid triggers such as coffee, spices,
rich foods, spicy foods, and fatty foods.
Eat smaller meals - 1/3 to 1/2 less. This causes less distention in the stomach and less pressure.
Don't eat 4 hours before bed - allows your stomach to empty
before you lie down, and put more pressure on it.
Try elevating the head of the bed.
If all these don't help, see a doctor for prescription medication.

It sounds like you have horrible GERD, or accute Acid Reflux, at the very least, and you need to go to the Doctor immediately. The canker sore part I am not familiar with, but you need to go to the Doctor, and you need to go before you get the symptoms again. You may not even be overweight, but gastrointestinal problems, including, but not limited to a hyatal hernia can be causing all of this discomfort. Another bad thing is if you feel like vomit is rushing up and down the back of your throat; this can develop into esopogeal cancer down the line. Don't wait. Get to the MD

This is acid reflux. Tonight, take Gaviscon. That's quick relief. Then you could try taking tagamet or pepcid AC or zantac on a regular basis, regardless of how you feel at the moment, and they may prevent the acid from leaving your stomach (that's why your throat feels raw and there are sores in your mouth). Better though, would be to talk to your dr. and ask for a prescription. There are some wonderful drugs out there that took my problem stomach from hell to heaven.

Sounds a lot like gastric reflux. Nexxium is very good at controlling the pumps in your stomach that cause the acid to churn then shoot back up your throat. An over the counter medication that's as good as Nexxium is Prilosec. You have to take it even when you feel okay though as well.

Yes, that's a symptom of your stomach acids backing up into your esophogus. Tums and other antacids aren't going to do anything for you, so stop taking them. You really need to start yourself on Prilosec. It's over-the-counter, but a little on the expensive side. Take it for two weeks to one month. If you don't see any improvement or it gets worse, you'll need to see your doctor.

It sounds like heartburn or acid reflux? For Immediate relief, try baking soda water, I would try Prilosec OTC, for 7 days, if that doesnt work you should see the doctor, You dont want to get your esophogus to become to damaged.
