Well i have not heard of any child molesters, or gay child molesters, or gay priests and preachers in the news recently...actually not at all. But the media hypes up the bad and only speaks of the bad...so whatever your hearing about this stuff is very few in numbers. There are many more trustworthy, good, ministers and priests that do not do that kind of thing to children.

Because it sells newpapers and gets rating.
55% of Show Biz is gay. Those HUNKS and BABIES you see on TV like the same sex 55% of the time.
In the REAL world 1 out of 25 people is gay

As to why some are attracted to one profession or another, it is a mystery.
Many GAY guys are LOOKERS and they play the part, hence they are attracted to acting and modeling.
Many GIRLS go gay because they are models and they can get total sexual satisfaction with NO fear of pregancy with other girls.
Maybe Priests view the life with other men as being, erotic or simpatico.
They simply prey (Freudian slip) on young boys because they are easy.
RAPISTS say the same thing, a 14 year old girl is easy, she becomes ridgid with fear when you take her, while 30 year olds fight back.

You're generalizing and the statistics show that more child molesters are straight. But what isn't being said is, are these people really gay but because the world won't accept gays then they are lying to protect their image. Circular logic makes going round and round much more fun!

I think it is because the church and religion is a good place for them to find victims and have it kept quiet. Though we have heard alot about these child molesters in the news, I would bet for every one we hear of there are at least 20 others we don't hear about.

please realize that these people have undoubtedly been sexually repressed for most of their lives.
they have been (I'm speculating) told that sex is a bad thing and should be avoided to stay in favor with God... or even worse yet - it's not talked about it all.
That has been the attitude of the Church for a very long time.
What happens when you tell someone that they can't have something all their lives?
it's very sad that this has damaged the leadership organization of most western religions to the point that it has affected our chidren- the solution I'd offer (if I had the opportunity) is to allow priests to marry and have children - let them live a NORMAL life!!!

no... most preachers and priests are NOT perverted. but the media doesn't cover stuff like that. too mellow, not enough drama, and frankly, who cares? journalists are looking for the next scandal and unfortunately, there are bad people posing as preachers/priests that give everyone a bad name. i should know; my mother's a preacher.

sadly you are falling for media spin. In ANY group of people you will find those who are sick and twisted, men of the cloth are no different, but those who are, thankfully, are a tiny minority compared to the total population. do you believe or abide in everything the media spews at you?

about 90% are white, straight men in the late 30s/early 40s
