Without a doubt for me it is the "after life" or eternity. The now, is temporary, but eternity is, well forever... The time we have hear on earth, will seem like a split second compared to our eternity in heaven. So... yes I care about now, about my soul, my behavior, our children & grandchildren, I care about everyone and pray for their souls to come to Christ before it is too late, but ultimately, my selfishness, my sinfullness, cares about saving my behind! Good question!

Life "IS" life. Life "IS" eternal so what is the after question? First you must dive deep and touch the subtle nature of life.Life is so much more than a meager personality claiming all the rewards due to the Life. Life is here in multiplistic form and could never have a need to cry out "Look at Me". Life has no judgement upon itself. When you discover the nature of your own Life , ther will be no question of "before or after"-life.

For me, my life here is "more" important. For it is in THIS life that I chose where I spend my after-life. If I do not make the correct choice HERE and NOW (my belief in my Lord Jesus), then my after-life is literally going to be hell!!!

Since I have made that choice, I need to be careful not to "lose" that choice, and to nurture it, and share it when I can. Thusly, again, THIS life is "more" important. My after-life is my "reward" for my faith in this life.

Many here at R & S have heard me say this before, but it really applies to this question so I 'll say it again...

Your whole life here on earth will seem like one night in an inconvenient hotel compared to eternity with the Lord .

Of course if you choose the other option, Your time here on earth will seem like a moment of bliss compared to eternity separated from God. Please read the story of the Rich man and Lazarus in Luke Chapter 16. We will be able to see from heaven to hell and vice versa, but will not be able to change our destination at that point. Oh the agony those in hell will suffer when they look up into heaven and wish they would have listened to those crazy Cristians. Come to Christ now. Choose heaven for your destination. Dont wait till its too late!! O' Come to Christ.

Hebrews 9:27.. it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment......

Life, the here and now!
Eternal life will be mind boggling
But I want to do something that count now so when I get there I will not be ashamed of what I could have done

My after-life because it's eternal. I will get to spend time at the face of God with great feasting and celebration and worship.

Revelation 4:8 NLT
Each of these living beings had six wings, and their wings were covered all over with eyes, inside and out. Day after day and night after night they keep on saying,

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty—
the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come.”

This life Jesus gave us more abundantly for those who follow Him and I love life, but My AFTERLIFE is so much more to look forward to that it cannot even compare to this life. This life is like a grain of sand in time compared to all the sand of the beaches and then an endless supply!! I have The Holy Spirit living in me now, but in Heaven I will see the face of God in all His glory. Come Lord Jesus!!

NOW... it has to be..
I believe in after life and recarnation and past lives but...
I have also had very bad bouts with wanting to commit suicide most of my life, and the recarantion idea has always come up as a good reason to "why not just end it all I'll just come back".. which I do believe is true.
So you have to be in the NOW and experience life for what it is.

I just don't know yet.

Hi,

WE must prioritize the EVERLASTING more than this present life.

Let's read 1 Timothy 6:17-19

"Charge them that are rich in this present world, that they be not highminded, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on the life which is life indeed. "

THE LIFE which is to come is the LIFE INDEED.

This present world, the lusts of it, passeth away.

1 John 2:15-17

"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. "

It's WISE to see the things beyond this present life.

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Colossians, (3:1-2)

"If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.

Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth. "

WE HAVE TO set our minds on thigns that are ABOVE, NOT on the things that are upon the earth.

It's INCOMPARABLE.

If you endure in this time, it's INCOMPARABLE COMPARED to the Glory that you will have.

Romans 8:26

" For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us-ward."

It's really incomparable.

The apostles don't look at things seen, because things which are seen are temporal, and things not seen are eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18

"For our light affliction, which is for the moment, worketh for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;

while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. "

START thinking of things and working for things which are eternal or everlasting.
