Age doesn't matter when you are in your 20's and up. But at your age it is major. Stay away from him.

Hey there,
I figured that I'll throw my two cents in. As a parent of a 13 year old girl, I'd say that you are way too young to start dating. You're at a time in your life where your whole world is gonna change and become more challenging and rewarding. You're entering the usually dreaded world of High School! You're going to have enough on your plate without adding to the mix the "Older Guy". Not only are there academic pressures but peer pressures that you will have to contend with, as you no doubt already know. Its also going to be a time when your brain is going to have to work overtime to absorb all that you'll need to learn.
As for being attracted to older guys, yeah, I'm a victim of that syndrome too. I've always dated guys older than me...but I ended up marrying a man my own age...go figure. Anyway, just to play the devil's advocate here: Beware of the Older Guy. He will definitely have more experience than you. And as one poster already mentioned, he may try to use that to take advantage of you. Secondly, the guy is starting college and already has a girlfriend, two big clues that you should send him off with a happy face and lock those feelings for him away in a special place in your heart and move on. You're young, you have you're whole life ahead of you. Also let me just say that the first rule of thumb is: Always protect yourself first! Guys come and go, but you have to live with yourself forever.
As to dating in general, and if your parents don't mind you dating at 13, (yeah, most of you are probably rolling your eyes right about now...I can't help it, I'm a parent....lol) Start out with someone your own age or close to. Start of as friends, just hang out, study together, read manga together or watch some great anime together. You never know, you may find that you are attracted to guys your own age as well.
And so I end this bit of advice with this:
When you're young, love is exciting and new and the urge to grow up gets stronger by the day.
When you're an adult, love is the driving force behind that strong desire to find the perfect soul mate.
When you're elderly, love is the one miracle that makes you feel as if you're young once more.
Good luck to you and I hope all of your days are filled love and happiness!

That's a no no, a 17 year old with a 13 year old? Something is definitely wrong there. It would be hard just to get a 15 year old to like you. Stay within the 1 year or may be 2 year gap.

oh, you and i are both the same. i like older guys too. theyre more mature and just hotter overall! lol. well its not that big of an age gap. im 16 and i like a 21 year old..which is kind of illegal. but anyway. i know how you feel. tell him how you feel about him and tell him that you understand the age gap but that you want to be with him. if he hurts you (emotionally or physically) forget about him. you dont need any sh*t, you deserve to be treated like a queen. also, be careful, because he could take advantage of you. i guess if it works out and he likes you too, try and keep one of your friends in the loop so that if anything happens to you (god forbid) they can tell an adult where you are. good luck sweetie! <3

Yes!!!!!!!! He is far too old for you, It's ok to have a crush. But if you are looking for more, You are setting yourself for a heartbreak..
1. he is too old and probably not interested
2. he is too old for you that kind of attraction to a child is just wrong. he could get arrested or worse.
3. your parents will never except you and him together.
4. Your friends will stir clear because they know it's wrong
5. And worse than all of that, you'll get attached and he will realize your are not mature enough and then he'll dump you!

just be friends with him. actually the age gap narrows as you grow up. the 4-yr difference when you're 13 and he's 17 will become smaller when you're 23 and he's 27, and will be nothing when you're 33 and he's 37. trust me!

its normal for us girls to like older guys cuz we feel like they reach our level of maturity, since we def. mature faster than they do. but yeah, hes not worth it, hes got a gf and hes just a bit too old for u, with all the years ahead of u, im sure ull find a boy whos mature enough to go out with u!!

Yes he is too old. He will only want sex and at 13 you are too young for that. Find someone closer to your age.
