I suspect the doctor is going to be more interested in if your mood has improved. If it has, the doctor may dismiss the side effects and tell you that they will go away with time. However, if nothing has really changed as far as why you are on Zoloft, then the doctor will probably try another drug.

As a patient, you have the right to control the course of your treatment. Ask the doctor to explain all the pros and cons of the different drugs available and work together to find the right one.

You may need to find another doctor. One who you feel comfortable with and trust - one that is open to discussion.

Don't let anyone convince you that God will fix your problems. Depending on your diagnosis, there may not be an effective natural cure. However, there are things that you can do such as eating right and exercising. Getting a good counselor to talk to and for coping strategies may be of benefit.

It is very possible that Zoloft just is not the right medication for you. You should tell your doctor all of your issues since you started taking Zoloft and explain that it seems to be doing more harm than good. Before your appointment it would be a good idea to go onto a search engine and search medications so that you can see what you think sounds good and the go over options with your doctor as well.

GOOD LUCK

Perhaps the dose is too high? I know when I started on Celexa, and they bumped me up to the full dose of 60 mg I was dizzy, running into walls, etc. Once I was on the proper dose I was fine. Just tell the doc straight out what you are experiencing so they can help you. Good luck!

Make a list of everything you are feeling, that way you won't forget anything. It may be that the dose needs adjusting, or you may need to try something new. Have you tried taking the medication at a different time of day. My daughter was on meds that made her sleepy so I suggested she take them at night instead of in the morning. So sometimes a change in time helps. Good luck.

tell your doctor ASAP. My husband went through Paxil, Xanax, and Zoloft without much improvement. Wellbutrin & Seroquil helped him. It's just a matter of finding what works with your personal body chemistry

Tell your doc EXACTLY what you just asked millions of strangers. Your doctor is NOT a mind reader and the only way he/she can prescribe the best meds for you is to TELL him/her how the current meds affect you.

Ask your doc about a sleep aid product that isn't addictive.

Good luck and trust that all will be well...if YOU choose it to be.

Talk to your doc. Tell him everthing that's happening. In the meantime, get on WebMD or any of the other medical sites and read up on antidepressents and side effects. I'm on Welbutrin and love it. No side effects. My gf loves the no sexual side effects.

Good luck.

Can you settle down enough to meditate on restless nights?
