God didn't. However, he DID tell us to spread the word. We Christians are meant to inform. We are supposed to be teaches, not demagogues, and many so-called Christians do not actually follow their own teachings. As a Christian, I thought I'd let you know.

According to Romans 13, the government authorities are ordained by God. Whether you believe that or not, evangelism is legal in at least the democratic parts of the world at the moment, that I'm aware of. It tends to become more frowned upon during wartime or in localities where those opposed to Christianity have influence with the law enforcement authorities.

He didn't talk to me or anyone else and He certainly didn't give anyone the authority to tell anyone else how to live their lives. The Bible tells us that a long time ago He sent His son to tell us all how He expects us to live our lives. Unfortunately Jesus did not write the Bible. Men who claimed to have been enlightened by The Holy Spirit did. Personally, I believe that they were indeed enlightened by It but I also believe that they at times put a little bit of their own spin on it. It would be only human to do so. If you read the Bible very carefully you will discover that not only are their contradictory view points in it but you will also find (I know I do) things written in it that do not sound like the will of God. One example; The Bible tells us that it is OK to be homosexual as long as we don't act on it. God made us the way we are and He expects and wants us to pursue lives of happiness. MAJOR CONTRADICTION. I don't mean to knock the Bible and I believe it to be the basic manual for human behavior but I also believe that each one of us needs to interpret and apply it to our lives on an individual basis. With this being said it is hardly believable that anyone could be so knowledgeable as to have been given the authority to tell anyone how to live their life.
One final note. Followers of God lead by example ONLY.

I would say god didn't. I would also say that people really don't have any right or authority to tell someone else how to live, I think everyone can make their own choices and should by no mean intrude on someone elses beliefs rather they think they believe in a superior or religion or not.

The first part of your question is "When Did God talk to you ?"
All the time even when you were in your mother's womb especially. Once out of her womb, you were robbed and confused with another wicked spirit(devil) working through the mouths of others human beings talking and outshouting God's still small wordless word voice speking within your conscience and intuition. And as time goes by the conscience is corruppted and confused to think right is wrong and wrong is right "you"
God's has sent many of His servants prophets in time past to speak to us , then He sent His Son, Jesus and after Him came The Holy Spirit which convicts the world of sin even with their hay-wired conscience they can still know God but to those who knows Him and acknowledge Him - The Holy Spirit not only speak to them, He leads and guide them and even give them the exact words to speaks when the circumstances warrant it"
The second part of your question , "..give you authority to tell other people how to live their lives ?"
Yes you are right in a sense that Jesus teaches that you should not called anyone teacher or master, for thee is only ONE - God your Father and He will speak and teach you all things by His Holy Spirit and you can know all things. For as many as are led by the Holy Spirit, they are the sons of God.
Religious people throw their weight on your just like all those in authority and high places are power crazy and controlling maniacs which does not have your interest at hearts that I have found out long ago and I am a born again spirit-filled sons of God- a believer in the corporate anointing of the Body of Christ and a member of that Body !
I don't expect my last phrase of the answer to be understood by non believers but christian who are mature.

Christians are called (not a conference call) by The Lord to share the Good News with others. We are obeying and joyfully sharing with you the life we have in Him! Whether you want to listen to us and especially HIs Holy Word is up to you entirely. No one is telling you. Sharing is not telling you how to live. And apparently you have missed His call to you if you shun God and His Son, Jesus. Please do not take our sharing with you wrong. We really do care about you or we wouldn't bother. In Christ;s love

I will try to answer it this way if someone offered you drugs what would you say to them. You see you have a choice. As a Christan I am trying to let you know that God loves you and that he is there for you if we just open our heart to him. In the early church the people searched the scriptures daily to see if what was being taught to them was right. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior then we understand those things better.

Since I don't really know who you're talking about, I'm going to assume you're talking about hypocrites. People who try to tell you how to live and don't walk the talk are hard to stomach, but when we look ourselves in the mirror, we can be sure that we've been hypocritical at times, as well. It's just when people act self-righteous, things get tense and difficult.
You might consider the source of your hatred, bitterness, and resentment is simply unresolved conflict projected onto people who have meant well, but have failed just like the rest of us.

God talks to me sometimes, and although i feel that i have to share the experience of knowing him with others, i never meant to have the authority to tell people how to live their lives.

I don't tell others how to live. However, like this site, if you ask, then I will tell you what I think. If you come to this site and don't want to hear about God, then, you are in the wrong section.
