Re: nuPhyllis!'s comment
They just use different terminology - born a sinner, but choosing to live by Spirit, even though being aware that sowing to the flesh is another (unBiblical) option.

Yes, it is a choice. The description of agape love in the Bible is something that requires a tremendous amount of dedication to the task of being patient and not trying to cop out of trials (1 Corinthians 13). There is no complaining or arguing involved in it (Philippians 2:14). There's no adherence to "how to" guide from other people about living (2 Timothy 4:3, 4).

No, heterosexuality is the natural course of sexuality. It is the only course for procreation, which is the purpose of sex. This make it the natural. Homosexuality is a perversion of the natural, which makes it unnatural.

People who have sex before marriage exercise a "choice" in lifestyle that equals sin. People who live together instead of marrying exercise a "choice" in lifestyle that is also a sin. Active homosexuals exercise a "choice" in lifestyle which is a sin.

in accordance to Sigmund Freud, all babies are born Polymorphous Perverse. The circulation of possibilities in the direction of one type of sexuality or yet another, the form of morality, etc. are then the end results of a mixture of organic and organic predispositions and environmental impacts. To the beef of your question there's a distinction between "Heterosexuality" - that's essentialy an unconsiously more suitable character and set of possibilities and "the on the instant way of life" - that's a series of judgements approximately the thank you to precise sexuality So, generaly talking "Heterosexuality" isn't a call yet "on the instant way of life" IS a call ----------- observe: This, of course, for ease of communicate, leaves off the reality that human sexuality is greater of a parabola / continuum with probable an exceptionally few people who're "actual heterosexual" or "actual gay" - with maximum individuals substantialy "bisexual" -- and hence chosing to be "heterosexual" or "gay"

oh yes definately.

i could have been with a wonderful man that i loved and cared for. (and he made damn good money too) we had almost all of the same intrest's and hobbies. and could have lived a wonderful life in Canada or the Netherlands.

but i just had to spare my poor Catholic Mother. so i choose to be heterosexual.

now i live with a nagging, jealous, petty, woman that cannot earn a diecent income, refuses to cook, and complanes every time that i try to enjoy one of my hobbies, and will not let me out of the house after dark.

yep it is a choice all right,

and i am George Washington...no, i am Batman...well everyting is a choice right,, so i will be the first president superhero ever.

How strange. You could make another choice if you wanted to. Sexuality is a continuum. I don't know a single straight person who has not had a passing thought about "what if" or who has had a homosexual fantasy.

Perhaps the "good folk" of the forum could drop the holier-than-thou attitudes.

Oh, you were /so/ close! Don't worry, though, there's a lovely consolation prize when you leave.

Of course they didn't choose their "straight lifestyle." They matured attracted to the opposite sex. That's just /who they are/.

I sure have! Not only was I born heterosexual, I choose to be! Just because not many women like me does not mean I am gay. The flagpole goes up when I see a nice pair of knockers.

I am also left-handed. I could choose to learn to write with my right, but I choose not to.

You can't choose your sexual preference any more than you can choose your eye color. Of course, when you're older you can HIDE your true eye color behind colored lenses, but no amount of pretending can make what you really are go away. If you're gay, be proud! If you're straight, be proud! Bi, Trans, Asexual, whatever makes you happy!!!

You DO understand that, occasionally, opposite-sex attracted people will engage in same-sex sexual behavior, and same-sex attracted people will engage in opposite-sex sexual behavior, RIGHT? Yes, I have CHOSEN to not have sex with members of the same sex.
