This problem has been proven by many scientists that a lot of fatty foods cause this. Or by not eating much, this causes the same problem. It might also be because of suspence. Most of the time your brain subcontiously thinks of things that you have watched and not completed. Such as, TV shows or books. There is also a natural reason. Sometimes your sleep is controlled by the lunar patterns. When there is a full moon, you might sleep less than you normally do or im not sure vice versa.
I hope i helped.

Well, Fire Lily, guess what? The dreams actually indicate that you are reaching the Delta, or REM (for rapid eye movement) stage of sleep, which is the deepest stage. When you are prevented from reaching that stage of sleep for a long period of time, you don't dream. It's not dreaming that tells you that you are not getting healthy sleep.
Remembering your dreams has made you notice them, but that should actually encourage you that you are getting what you need. It's the worry that making you believe you aren't sleeping.
That said, your doctor needs to check that you are physically fine. Then, ask for a referral to a sleep specialist. They will eliminate any further concern you have. Finally, see a counselor. That will help build your confidence in your sleep.
Now for a fun aspect: most of us do not remember our dreams well. I can't tell you how many people have said to me,"Wow, I had a great dream last night. I wish I could remember it!" Well, put a pen and a notebook next to your bed, and when you wake up in the morning, write down your dreams. Who knows, maybe you'll dream the next best selling novel!

Yopu may think this is drastic but it isnt . go tooyour doctor and get some citalpramil . I suspect that you may be depressed about something irreguar sleep patterns are the first thing to evolve with depression . Particulary frqiebnt waking and early morning waking . You should see an improvement after three nights but do continue with the tablets as you need to build up your seratonin levels But what is amking you anxious . I'm afraid you will have to sort it out or the problem of insomnia will reoccur .

Oh i know what you mean, i have been going through the same thing, but some of my dreams were not so nice....seeing my kids get killed, or loved ones hurt.my partner loosing my kids ect.
I was also told i was thinking to much before going to bed and under stress i didnt feel that any of those things were a factor, but i still could not get a good night sleep
I have found that if i have a nice warm shower or a soak in the bath, followed by a nice hot chocolate before bed helps me alot....some nights i also have the radio playing softly and this helps
best of luck with it, i know how you feel as i do the same thing

I have the same problem,it has to do with the ammount of time your asleep. Its best to sleep either five hours or eight, varrying depending on the person.dreams occur in rem sleep and when you vividly remember your dreams your being awakend during rem sleep. this is the time your body rests and regains energy, as well as clears your short term memorie out. this can be verry exausting! I suggest that you set your alarm for five minutes later or fall asleep that much earlier a day untill you start awakening without being aware of your dreams. good luck it took me like a month and a prescription to trazadone150mg to fix this one.

I often have a hard time sleeping as well. I meditate for 20 minutes right before I go to bed. It helps clear my mind and I have a restful sleep after that.

Dreams occur for nearly everyone, nightly, but many forget them immediately. Practise one of the relaxation methods at http://www.ezy-build.net. (.net.nz/~shaneris) on page 2, after lights out, and on awakening. Then just say to yourself: "well, that was an interesting dream", if you remember any. Also read page 3.

dude, My dreams come to an end, just as I am reaching out to touch and feel her body, and kiss her too.
rememberable dreams that leave you sort of tired after wards can be the cause of this. your brain is so wound up over some thing, that it carries on after sleep.
and if you beleive this kind of stuff, it may be preminations about some past or future happening.
