I've been trading emails with a guy on an online dating site all day. Now I've asked him to meet me and suddenly he stopped responding. Either he is not interested or he's afraid to meet me. What can I say to him? Should I have waited for him to ask me?

Sometimes it simply is a matter of who got to him first. If he is simply "playing' or now intrigued by the opportunities presented to him, you might be feeding his ego.
He might think he has "you" and it's a sure thing, so he might be pursuing the ones that are "tougher to chase".

Don't be as eager because this guy could just be a new inductee to online dating. Wait for him to "catch" you. All of my male friends tell me they appreciate the chase... they don't like it when it is too easy for them.

First off, I advise that you get away from those online dating sites.

Second, he may just have not gotten around to responding to your e-mail yet. If I may be so bold, I would conclude that you are insecure and ashamed of yourself for whatever reason. You must understand that you are worth it, that you are very good person and you must learn to love yourself. You don't need a damn dating site to find love for you.

Third, let things ride out a little bit longer. See what happens.

Good Luck!

Whenever they disappear at the "meeting stage"- it means they're either married, living with someone, not who they say they are, or the photo was fake.
Say nothing- move on.

i would suggest he is not genuine --- he told you things that are not true and now he would rather ignore you than admit that he lies --- sorry ---- best wishes
