There are three types of being "forward".
Type 1: Whorish; slutty; "loose", "fast"
Type 2: Overly pushy; eager; seemingly desperate
Type 3: A girl who is not whorish in her ways and does not come off as "sexually loose" but one who is just a "go-getter" and who shies away from "beating around the bush".
Type 1, men would like, but would not keep you around for too long. You can't turn a "whore" into a housewife as they say. So being this way may allow you to catch him, but he'll soon leave you for a real female that he can take home to his mother.
Type 2, will just push a man away. He will feel weirded out and wonder why you are so freaking desperate to have him.
Type 3 is what will turn a guy on and make him more curious about you. I know, because I'm a very much so a "straight-forward" kind of girl. I let a man know when I have an interest in him and I also let him know that it's his option to take me or leave me, you know? I don't come off as "arrogant" or "whorish" or "overly eager", but like a female who knows what she wants and does not "bullsh** around" when trying to get it.

forward is a tough word to qualify.
Assertive, proactive and in control however...yes sir!
In a lot of situations the cultural pressure is on the man to be in control and assertive. To tell you the truth I need a girl who sometimes steps to the plate and runs the show.
No one likes to always fill the role, it keeps things fresh, and makes sure that everyone gets to have a chance to make the choices, or to let the choices be made for them.
Nothing better than a woman being assertive in the bedroom, and asking getting what she wants. I don't always want to be the initiator or in control.

Yeah, none of the games stuff
Of course, that can mean a bad thing as well, when a girl tells u she just wants to hang out as FRIENDS, oh, in CAPS, too.
