I think back to the 1939 World's Fair, where General Motors unveiled "The World of Tomorrow". We all had helicopters and the cars drove automatically on accident free highways. Our homes were run by robots and the air, water, etc. was clean and healthy since we ate our meals as vitamin packed pills. Now, their definition of "tomorrow" was the 1960's!! It was already getting laughed at in schools who showed the newsreels of the fair. So, I'd say, look at the movies. You may find the world of "a.i.:artificial intelligence" or "Minority Report" You may find "Blade Runner" and "Soylent Green." Are you an optimist or a pessimist? Where has your life gone since you can remember? What factors are you going to judge by? If you think the world will be a homogeneous good or bad, that won't be the case. Will the majority live well? Or will the small minority have a life of luxury? So, if global warming is your starting point, you need to know if it continues or stops. Your choices are wide open.

i swear, the only reason our lifestyle will be different is due to all of the bogus regulations the global warming people are trying to put on us. By the way, global warming is not happening to the extent they say it is. The main reason for global warming is both the sun and the oceans which we can not control. I swear, people are blowing this way out of proportion. They say the temp of the planet has gone up nearly a degree over the past 100 years.. i say so what?? can you name me a time in the history of the planet where the temp hasn't changed??? no you can't!! and this was even when humans were not around. So all of the global warming people can just shut up and let us live our life!!

All depends on what your habits are now. I use very minimal energy compared to most people in developed countries and grow much of my own food on good soil so my health will stay pretty much the same.
The technology is available to "save the world" as some would have you believe is necessary. I prefer to use the technology just to save money. When people get over crying about going back to living in caves and look at the simple ways of improving their lives while reducing our dependence on terrorist supporting countries oil things will get better.

The greatest risks to our individual life styles are the swarm of socialists and other left wing politicians who plan to use global warming as the path to their dream of complete government control of every aspect of our lives. If they succeed, we will soon be living in a society very much like that portrayed in Brazil or V for Vendetta.

If we fall for the global warming hysteria we will find our life seriously degraded.
Restrictions on power usage, driving, food, water etc etc. It'll be like going back in time 100 years.
Except, of course, for the rich like Al Gore who can do anything and use as much fuel and electricity as they want.

You know all the freedom and power you got right now with a computer. Well their gonna tell you your using way too much electricity and limit you to a couple hours. Maybe even only have computers in public libraries and make you wait in a line.
And in the meantime, all your heros on television and them politicians will be flying their private jets like we use cars. Only thing is they'll tell us not to use cars cause when we use energy it's a waist. But when they use it, it's important.

Depends on how soon we start working on the problem.
If we start now, the changes will be minor. Smaller cars, a little less money in our pocket going to build alternative energy plants, better energy conservation (which will save us that money back).
If we wait until it really hits hard the changes will be drastic. People along the coasts forced to relocate, much higher food prices due to damage to agriculture, emergency measures to reduce energy consumption while we build alternative energy plants, much less money in our pockets coping and replacing infrastructure lost to flooding, quite possibly an economic depression worldwide.
It depends on how intelligent we are about this. Here's an intelligent plan:
